You need to give the "right-wing" button on your keyboard a break.

This is an issue that has opposition (and support) across the spectrum. Corbyn has stated opposition, as has Ed Davey as has Kemi Badenoch, as has Nigel Farage.

Even the Greens are against the ID card, as are the SNP although they seem to be more worried about its name.

It does seem a curious policy and a curious time to make it from the govt.

There's lots of 'could's in there.

The main gripe ive seen is people not liking the fact that Euan Blair's company is (possibly) involved.

I've got Oracle shares, they should go up; it will be a big contract. I've got Palnantir also, they are getting loads of UK government contracts, both shares are doing well, might as well get some tax back by buying them.

Apart from cost, I’m still waiting for people to state the reasons they are against it.

I would look at it from a different perspective. As a responsible citizen, can I absolutely guarantee that it will never negatively impact the lives of future generations, especially the children who are without a voice in this matter. If I can't do that it would have to be a no from me.

That's a very mature position, do you think you apply that consistently?

Presumably you were against the introduction of bank accounts, insurance, brexit, off the top of my head..
