  • Trumps peace plan for Ukraine/Russia

Loaded in Putins favour. Getting land given to him that he failed to win in battle. Ukraines armed forces drastically cut, unable to ever join NATO, stopped from ever trying to prosecute Russians for war crimes etc etc, and only given till next Thursday to agree to it.
Imagine millions of Ukranians will wonder what they’ve been fighting for.
Would love to see Trump give up chunks of the USA to an aggressive enemy.

With regard to your final sentence; if there were a Nobel Peace Prize in it for him I think he'd do it.

It appears that Russia is making no concessions at all, I guess just stopping sending missiles and drones over into Ukraine is enough?
Another one is NO peacekeeping force allowed in Ukraine to maintain peace. It’s a terrible deal, particularly giving up even more land than they’ve lost but maybe to just end the suffering of Ukrainians they should just do it. Maybe have a referendum on it?
Whatever anyone says Russia has apparently lost about a million soldiers which is an insane amount, many if which will have been seasoned soldiers, not the ‘new recruits’ they are sending in now to get mullered. They have the weapons but must be short of manpower too

I’m not up to speed on this conflict, are Russia the aggressors or is that what’s been reported on the ever so truthful BBC ?

I only ask as I was in the Middle East and their news reports were very much about the conflict being about one side being as bad as the other

Maybe it being a proxy war is part of the problem?

Seems strange that this conflict has no news reporters on the ground and next to nothing footage of day to day operations and battlefield combat especially when we are supposed to
be committing billions to the war effort

Where is Brian Hannrihan when you need him

As in all wars and conflicts, the fate of many, is guided by the hands of few. History is awash with human canon fodder. Billions of young soldiers innocently sent to their death, with most not even knowing the reasons why they are fighting.
We all wonder at times how seemingly intelligent people can be brainwashed by cults, and religious nuts, but in all honesty, we are all being brainwashed to a certain extent, by tyrants and lying governments, but we just roll over and accept it.

See the history rewriters are out in force in this thread - the so called independent, critical thinkers are predictable if nothing else.

Of course, the Americans were behind the start if all this as ever meddling away with who they want in control, Putin then flexes his muscles over who he wants to control Ukraine. 4 years later, over a million young men dead over it and a few hundred miles of land changed hands…such a civilised world

When it comes to news the BBC is far from perfect but compared to most of what's going on out there , its saintly

We could have FOX news on nightly in our living rooms

                          Good grief

                              Boris played a part too.
