Are you refuting American and European involvement? You can trace it all back to 2014.

It's just moving the goalposts really. Putin's premise for starting the war (pushed through the media by a whole host of russia-aligned western right wing politicians, until they realised their base doesn't agree) doesn't stack up at all. Putin sees Ukraine as Russian empire, to do with what they please. The west has its own geopolitical reasons for trying to entice Ukraine into the pack but in no universe was that putting Russia in direct danger. Putin doesn't want Ukraine in Nato for one reason and one reason only - it makes it a whole lot harder for him to take it back in due course.

You can take a step back and not assume we are always lovely people doing generous things, but taking a step forward and trusting kremlin rhetoric about the war is silly.

If the west are trying to entice Ukraine into the pack, why are they so reluctant to let them join NATO ?

It's Europe not the west. The US are saying no way, and Trump is doing a power move on the EU.

It all started in 2014 with the US State Dept messing around with the Ukraine elections.

No, I’m just saying that it always amuses me that you lot make so much of being INDEPENDENT, critical thinkers and yet your opinions on the issues discussed on this board are always exactly the same - it’s like you’re quoting from the Critical Thinker’s handbook.

Sometimes it may take 5, 7, or even 10 years, but I am always right

That's the way they roll. I don't even like Trump, but I know what he's doing, and what he's not doing.

He’s still a great guy right? Wales could easily win those two playoff games and off we go to the land of the free…..

Apologies, spellcheck error. I meant to say "I don't even like rump" (streak).
