It’s impressive how they manage to make Earth look spherical from space.

Funny you should say that 🤣 did you see the earth picture released I think it was last week might have been the week before, Russian sourced (according to auntie Beeb and the Guardian) the Russians have been the enemy ever since I was born and not to be believed. The picture was such a perfect sphere I couldn't have drawn it more accurately using CAD, and confirming the BBC mistrust of the Russians, if they are going to CGI the Earth, it should been an oblate spheroid published 😁 although to be fair to them at least they didn't use the much published blue marble model.

        Never A Straight Answer.

I started this fred in good faith and am looking forward to what modern technology can reveal about the moon (although have never believed the 1969 version of events) but you have hijacked it so i'm off in a huff to do something useful (I think)

I'm not a Flat Earther but have listened to a few podcasts involving Flat Earth Dave (has a Youtube channel) he makes things sound convincing and is quite a good debater on the subject but he may well be put out of business during and after this particular expedition.

That would be a shame. Flat Earthers are good for a laugh.

Why are you so unsure of the Apollo missions?

I watched this last night because it was on at a reasonable hour and it dawned on me that I have never watched a launch live before.

You would have thought with all the money NASA has that they could have painted the rocket nicer than that rusty orange mind

I thought I'd be really excited about this, I find this kind of thing fascinating. The world is in such a shit state though that it feels a bit unnecessary and pointless and I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm about it at the moment, that could change though.

Hopefully the astronauts don't read CCMB, I wouldn't want to take the sheen off what must be an incredible moment in their lives.

Life on Mars was an astronaut I believe, but I think he's been banned

As some who had a 40 year career as a cartographer I wouldn't give a flat-eather the time of day. They are either unbelievably stupid, wind-up merchants and/or in it for the profits that may result of internet views. Even more stupid are the ignoramuses that believe their schtick.

He was something beginning with 'a', but it wasn't as interesting as 'astronaut'.

Apparently, 'perigee' is pronounced as Perry Ng but without the 'N'.
