The thing is Jon, we are talking about someone who knows what’s really going on here while most of us sheeple jump to the obvious, but wrong apparently, conclusion that a bunch of incompetents are in charge of American security.

This discussion was not about the pros and cons of bombing Houthi hospitals. It was about the stupidity, the recklessness, the childish posing and the blatant lies of the senior US government figures in that chat group.

In what respect? If the object of the exercise was to make senior members of the Administration look gormless, somewhat juvenile, slapdash and ignorant then, yes I suppose it was a success.

It's back to the old cock up v conspiracy discussion. If there was an ulterior motive that all of us are missing, apart from you, and the operation has, in fact, gone exactly as planned, why did the Vice President, Secretary of State, Defence Secretary etc have to be made to look such idiots?

The main reveal from the chat posts was that the mission was to ‘do something’ because Trump had decided he wanted something done. So despite the fact that at least half of the participants thought it was a dumb idea they all agreed that pandering to the latest whim of the man child was the smart thing for their increasingly pathetic careers.

So a gesture was made. Any remaining allies were routinely insulted. Over 50 people (including 5 children) were killed. The administration sank into a deeper pit of incompetence and embarrassment.

Maybe that is the hallmark of a successful mission?
