What's the big deal with the death of a few innocent children anyway? They're not rich and Western and far more gave their lives willingly to enable the building of Trump World in Gaza.

This is a reasonable explanation of why bombing Yemeni kids does not add up to Gluey’s ‘mission accomplished’.

Making Netanyahu stick to the ceasefire agreement that he signed up to but instantly broke - and broke again - and then buried under the most murderous assault on Gaza since October 2023 - would probably stop any new Houthi attacks. They stopped before when the ceasefire was honoured. It would also mean fewer dismembered and burnt kids in two countries.

But it seems that peace, aid, a political settlement and ultimately something that might look like justice is not ‘the mission’.

Just unbelievably unprofessional and disrespectful. I wouldn't accept anyone on my team behaving like that, and there used to be a standard to which politicians in the states held themselves when speaking to foreign press (in public anyway) that has apparently just disappeared.

Someone said the US wasn't talking to Ukraine.

I said they are, and provided a link, and that's because they are talking to Ukraine and because basic truth matters.

For that entirely uncontroversial and factual point you have unleashed about a dozen or more personal insults towards me.

Aside from anything else, it's just fking weird. Take a night off and stop it, please.

I enjoy robust debate but an endless barrage of insults for writing something that is absolutely the truth is the kind of thing that ruins forums like this.
