Do you actually believe statistics can’t be subjective? Can’t be manipulated to back a personal opinion? Have you read the good doctor’s paper? Does he use every available statistic or are some conveniently left out?

If there was a town with 1 pub (Europe) and everyday for 30 years one extra person entered the pub from a huge City across the mountain. Is it safe to say that the next year without any unforseen circumstances another 365 punters would come to the pub?

It’s not a guarantee. Maybe the number of people looking for a pub has gone down because all the ones who really wanted to go to the pub are already there.
Maybe a second pub opened up so the clientele is split in 2.
Maybe pubs lose their appeal to a population with changing demographics.

You’ve taken this figure of 1300 migrants crossing and used it as if it’s the daily norm. “Half a million a year” “8000 a week” when in actuality this 1300 figure is much higher than average, hence the news coverage.
