Demographics is a simple matter of extrapolation. It's not open to that much conjecture really. Not like it's a subjective opinion. So why play pantomime style character assassination with Professor Coleman. It's not like it changes the data on Demographics.

What sort of idiot would voluntarily put themselves onto a water meter?

Exactly, nobody wants one because you have to pay for what you use and can't be wasteful!

So if eveyone has one, the people that want to use a lot could, but pay for it, and there would be no more hosepipe bans!

Years ago I went onto a water meter, just a 2 person household, both working full time, and it reduced the bills by a lot.

We are massively increasing our population through mass immigration which is putting pressure on all our utilities, including water.

I don't think it has a major impact on water usage, that's more wastage and leaks, the housing shortages are more of a problem.

Years ago I went onto a water meter, just a 2 person household, both working full time, and it reduced the bills by a lot.

Exactly you pay the correct price for your family, thats fair nothing wrong with that, and you won't waste water, you'll fix a leaking tap rather than have money flowing down the drain. It leads to responsible usage, so no water shortages.
