James Wales what are you going to say now you idiot

That he was wrong to apologise and he was right all along ?

          Teacher ?

Surely we can shoot teachers with these sort of views along with nurses and doctors of a right wing goose stepping line of thought ?

Always a tiny minority but still one is too many

Maybe it was in a private school for rich kids

Silence. He won’t retract because he believes what he says. This MP has been made to do it as even the Tories must be ashamed of his sick comments, especially as they, and they alone, have created the environment for these poor kids to go missing.

Apologises for how he said it perhaps but not the principle. People traficking should not be happening and they shouldn't be here.

The vast majority of 'kids' in question here are 16+ Albanians. A country with a democratic governement, fleeing France.

If you think this is okay and this is who we should be spending millions supporting, then it sure isn't me who is the idiot.

Of course. The words and the tweet does give some of you reason to get foaming at the mouth again I suppose.

It's half past midnight Sludge. What are you jibber jabbering on about? I've made it clear for a long time that in my opinion it is clear that there is a mass abuse of our asylum policy going on orchestrated by criminal gangs. It should be called out and it should be stopped and being naive about it doesn't help.

No one wants any of these problems, thats the reason to stop it at source instead of crying over tweets about problems that shouldn't even be allowed to exist in the way they have. Get angry at the gangs not the MPs trying (and hitherto failing) to stop them. These young people aren't in prison, they are free to leave their hotels and this is what happens, unfortunately.

500 more crossed last Wednesday. In January! Do you know how many British families are currently homeless? Where does everyone go? Not to where you live that's for sure.

Language does matter, thats true, but crying over an MPs words whilst tolerating what's going on is just a sublime example of irresponsible virtue signaling.

Now go be to bed and behave yourself

You’re just making more of a fool of yourself now. You can have your views on illegal immigration without the need to defend a slug like Gullis you know.

James Wales usually talks about crying, faux outrage, being angry, etc when the argument is escaping.

Odd bringing up homelessness. Is that another thing we should be blaming Albanian gangs for and not the government that has been in charge for 13 years?

So James, send the Albanians back to Albania or on to Rwanda for a new life? I still haven't had an answer. I want to know if you have changed your mind about the Rwanda policy.

Phew glad this is all sorted. You guys get to feel rough and then you realise you've just got angry over a tweet and still said nothing whatsoever about the vastly more substantial issue of the abuse of our asylum system by criminal gangs.

At least, as we saw with Yvette Cooper, we have moved on from people arguing that everyone is fleeing war and famine (some are of course) and there is a condensus that the system is being abused. Acknowledging that problem, albeit many many months late is a start.

In answer to the question, the idea of the Rwanda policy is to deter the abuse of the system in the first place, but you know that already.

So you don't agree with the former head of the nca that you quoted above. There wasnt anything else in the quote other than expedite the claims that will obviously fail and deport them back to where they came from. You have been telling us that won't work because they will just try again and that the only way is Rwanda (what a show that would be). So I guess my point is, make you mind up, you either agree with him or the policy and if you agree with the policy still then recognise that quoting people who think the opposite doesn't help you.

As for nobody offers a solution, I'll point you to my post above which said:

The best way to discourage illegal entry (and save shit loads of money) is to set up legal routes, catch illegal immigrants, destroy the gangs and process applications quickly. Not waste a year and hundreds of millions on the dumb**** Rwanda deal.

You might not like it because it would probably result in more successful asylum claimants entering the UK but it will work. Do what we were already doing but do it better was not only very possible but also the answer.

As feedy kinda pointed out in the other thread (another challenge you willfully ignored), dancing around in circles acting like a politician isn't impressing anybody, if you occasionally give a straight answer then these threads wouldn't roll on forever.

So which is it? Send the Albanians back to Albania or send them to Rwanda.
