No he was forced into it by the wonderful British tabloids. He clearly said they found out he was in rehab so they were about to publish their own version of his story so he felt he needed to get his truth out first.

Gary neville clearly says at the start Dele's team reached out to him to get this done.

Agreed. Defintiely some self preservation going on IMO.

He was recently pictured with a load of hippy crack balloons, when his career was going further down the toilet in Turkey and accusations of unproffesionalism from his superiors at Besiktas. I think hes been told to do some PR to try and get some public sympathy.

At the end of the day, most folk will wish him well.
