Exactly, if a player does well it's despite Bulut, if they are not playing well it's because of Bulut for a lot of these, they still want him gone, no matter what he does.

They did make a difference. The game had opened up by then as well. Rovers came out to play a little, left some spaces between defenders and midfield which allowed us to attack that space. Before that they were tight and we couldn't get through them. That should be of concern, Bristol Rovers were poor

Which of our players do you think Bulut has improved?

          "How are you Erol?"
"Rubin is a player who when you put him on for 20 minutes he tries to cram in 90 minutes. This he has to manage much better."

He shoots too often trying to be the hero, I can think of three or four occasions yesterday where he took a shot through crowded bodies that was nowhere near. He lacks composure and the longer his career goes on the more you wonder will it ever come
I wonder which player it was that took it on the turn, drove forward and earned us a corner which we scored from, which lead to Rovers pushing forward more

Absolutely, brilliant bit of play. Although that's needed when things are tight as well, and not just from Colwill. Although credit to Colwill, great turn and lovely weighted pass.

I remember him winning a few corners most were long shots that weren’t on which got deflected wide.

I hope Colwill does well, I hope he gets a run of starts but he has to deliver when he does. He’s 22 now, with over 100 games behind him and regularly fails to impact games under numerous managers. The fact he is being praised for winning a corner that led to a goal he didn’t answer or score shows how low the bar is for him at the moment

He’s the only I can think of out of those who were in and around the first team when Bulut arrived. Maybe Tanner, but I think he broke through very quickly under Bulut and has gone backwards, asa winger since then.

Going back to Colwill, would he have improved anyway last season because his body had sorted itself out? It’s impossible to say for sue, but he might have. On the other hand, Bulut could reasonably say that his tough approach towards Colwill is working and, although his public comments about Colwill have upset the fans, myself included, at times, the player himself doesn’t appear to be too bothered by them.

looking back at the highlights, I think the attempted chip on the keeper was the right option. the keeper had come out quickly and was making himself big so would have been difficult to pass him. it almost came off as well

I think that Colwill is a better player in and out of possession now. It may well be biological, who knows, but on the face of it I'd say Colwill has come on under Bulut. I know that we are constantly having these conversations, but like I said earlier, when a player is different, there's always going to be talk. For me, that's a compliment. Without having the first idea, I don't think that Colwill is too bothered about what Bulut says. Colwill is a professional, and he won't think like fans do, he will go home and be disappointed in himself or think that he could have done better. He should, anyway.

What I find with Colwill is it's like he feels the need to do something 'special' every time he receives the ball. He needs to keep it more simple, a lot of what he tries doesn't come off and he gifts the ball to the opposition.
I think Colwill would also do well to stay behind after training and practice his shooting from outside the box. If he could just improve on this aspect of his game he might get 4-5 extra goals a season.
The last thing we need is another player keeping it simple.

Colwill needs to be playing football regularly. Bulut is highly unlikely to play him regularly, and when he does play him it's not likely to be for 90 minutes or in his best position.

Colwill is 22 now. His career is going to go to waste unless he starts playing 90 minutes of football on a regular basis and that's not going to happen here while this fella is in charge.
I think it would benefit a few of our young players to get away from the club under Bulut.

Shipping out Colwill might do him good but will weaken us further. The sort of decision that could put us in serious trouble and Colwill could find himself back in L1 anyway.

Bulut has brought young players through. Whether or not he uses them yet is another thing. On last night's evidence I think that throwing them in would be a mistake. None of them really stood out, although none of them were poor. A word for Eli King. I know that he gave the ball away very cheaply on a few occasions during the first half, but what I liked about him was his urgency. He wanted the ball, was on his toes, looked to play the ball quickly. I liked that.
