The beer is well worth moaning about, it's expensive, poor beer. And there are no burgers. Pies or hotdogs.
We can moan about that now, no need to wait for the football to improve.

Didn’t you see him win ANY tackles on Saturday out of interest?

Last season he won 40% of headed challenges. Last season he won 55% of tackles. [SofaScore]

                  Interesting comment.

If we were to base that solely on league positions this squad would be better than:

                  The 2021/22 and 2022/23 squads,

                  The 2003/04 and 2004/05 squads,

                  The 2006/07 squad

and on a par with the 2007/08 squad.

I would argue strongly that the 2003/04 squad with Kav, Collins, Earnie, Thorne and Gabbidon was better than our current squad.

I struggle to find a case that it is better than the 2004/05 squad.

It certainly isn't better than the 2006/07 squad that was top of the table and in the playoffs for most of the season.

It certainly isn't on a par with the squad that made the FA cup final.

That leaves it being a better squad than we've had in 2021 and 2022. I'd agree, but not by much.

How many players that we currently have would have got into the FA cup final squad, or Lennie's starting XI after we won promotion? I can't think of a single player in our current squad on current ability that would make a "Best Championship XI" since 2003, though I extend that to any player since Warnock's side was relegated.

If the suggestion is that we've had worse squads than this at this level, then anything less than a top half finish this season would be a failure. Very few, other than some City fans, think this is possible. I think it's an average squad at best.

Siopsis strength is ball interception is weakness is aerial duals.

                    His style of play
Likes to shoot from distance ( zero goals last season)
                    Likes to play long balls
                    Gets fouled often.

I always thought that the centre backs were supposed to pass to the so called better ball playing midfielders to start the forward momentum. If he avoids this option he passes square to someone else or directly to the opposition

The way Siopis plays is like an extra centre back and leaves the other 2 midfielders short handed.

His only way of tackling is recklessly diving in. If he misses he creates a huge problem

I know he is a defensive midfielder but you still expect during course of the season an odd goal or assist from your defensive midfielder. Bulut is quick to attack Colwill for not defending, why isn't Siopis criticised for not being creative
I agree with this. And the number of opposition midfielders who ghost past him is ridiculous. Interestingly me and my son disagree on siopis. I don’t rate him, he does. The thing that he always throws at me is his regular selection for the Greece squad. And that I do not understand.

I hear some people talking about playing Wintle instead. That would be a disaster. He doesn't have the pace, energy or stamina of Sio. All those things are key to the way Sio plays. Those that don't understand this would make a worse manager than Bulet and that's saying something.

One club goal in his career last time I looked and he’s scored once for Greece.

My opinion has always been the same about Siopis once it became clear what his game is all about - he’s the best at the club at what he does, but we had other players who could do hisjob to a decent enough standard already, so why did we sign him? The money he’s costing us could have been better spent bringing in the sort of player I hope Robertson is this time last year.

Defensively he seems fine, tracks his runners closes down play, tackles pretty well and intercepts.

Offensively he’s not great, doesn’t break lines and I would love to see his forward pass stats.

In fact would like to see pass map for the entire team
