I love how the article says Darlow has now committed his international future to Wales, at 33.
    He probably “feels Welsh” now.

Shouldn't be in the squad for that very reason in my personal opinion

That's a big call from bellamy but interesting to see such a strong judgement re colwill.

I'm sure izaak would have been in the squad though.
Yes hopefully Cooper and Cullen get injured, just for Swansea games then fit for Wales next time and do it all again, and Colwill gets to practice here and establish himself

Just waiting to find out if Barnsley's Josh Benson has Welsh grandparents.

Colwill’s had plenty of time to do that already under several managers. Now he’s snubbed by Bellamy. Personally I think he still hangs onto the ball too long and hasn’t improved that part of his game. Best for him to move and play regularly like Harris.

                  Re: Bellamy's first Wales squad

It’s all very well listing the managers who have not picked Colwill, but his influence on games has been greater in the past two seasons, the question, which cannot be answered, is would the Colwill of last season and the early stages of this one have been treated in the way by McCarthy, Morison, Hudson and Lamouchi?

To me, it’s obvious now that Colwill should be starting every league game for City. As for Wales, I think it’s less clear cut and I can understand why he’s not made the squad - I reckon he threw away a big chance for himself with his display against Gibraltar.

That's got to be our worst squad for competitive fixtures in over 15 years. Maybe 20. It's awful.

                        Re: Bellamy's first Wales squad

Lets not turn this into another Colwill thread. To mention McCarthy's treatment is a bit wild mind when he was only 18.

He will be disappointed but so will many other fringe players.

I don't get the inclusion of Josh Sheehan

                          Don’t be so dramatic

We had squads with league of wales players in once upon a time

Find a worse squad for competitive fixtures in the last 2 decades.

That's not being dramatic it's just an honest assessment of a well below average international squad.

I remember about 500 of us huddled under the upper stand to stay dry, behind the goal in the Millennium Stadium back in the late 90s when we lost to a tiny old ex Soviet country and chanting 'we're worse than Northern Ireland' just to keep warm...tell that to the kids today and they won't believe you.

During the 90’s the “Red Wall” used to be a brick
