      Worst start in our history.
      Terribly unbalanced squad.
      Rooky manager.
This is a recipe for tier 3.
We've dropped really important points over the last batch, there were some real atteractive point winning fixtures and we flounderd badly.

The next batch are very tough, we will need to improve dramatically.

      How many points from these?

      Home Sheff U - 0
Away Oxford - Must win -3
      Away Watford - 0
      Home Coventry - 1 poss
      Away Boro -0
Away cup Sheff U - Lose bad for confidence
      Home Watford - 0
      Home Swansea - 1

If it goes to form, we will be in trouble and Riza will probably be going again by Jan, let's hope his new setup works out better and we catch a few out, and we need a bit of luck, and we need to sort out attacking and defensive corners.

I don't think so. Before checking the odds, I immediately thought Portsmouth, Plymouth, Oxford, Stoke, and Derby would end up in trouble, and we only have to finish above three of them.

Hull and QPR will be down and around too.
I can see us going down this season, unless we get a good striker in on loan during the January window. If we stay up, what then though? Tan will feel vindicated by placing Riza in the hot seat, and I feel we will struggle season in season out, until the trapdoor opens for us, and down we go. Not sure I could face another season of struggle in the Championship to be honest.

Of the teams you have mentioned of the last 6 games

Oxford have picked up 1 point, so look pretty much doomed at present
Hull have picked up 1 point, but should have new manager bounce with Ruben Selles
Pompey have 8 points with 2 wins and 2 draws
Plymouth have 2 points with 2 draws ( when will it dawn on the hierarchy at Home Park that Rooney really is a shite manager?)
Stoke have picked up 3 points with 3 draws
Derby have picked up 5 points with 1 win and 2 draws
QPR haven't lost in 6 games with 3 wins and 3 draws

The mighty Cardiff City have picked 3 points with 3 draws and I can't to be honest see where our next win is coming from.* I think it's us Plymouth and Oxford for the drop at the end of the season

*You watch, having said that, we'll only go and beat Sheff Utd on the weekend

Same bs allover….id rather go down, surely the humiliation will see Tan ( I fancy another crack at the PL but want to stay 10 years this time as he said last year) off….

But all teams have little runs, even at the bottom. It'll be our turn at some point while others struggle.

There was a phrase that Rob Phillips used on his phone-in last Saturday, saying that we'd been going round and round the plughole for a few years. Seemed pretty accurate and, to me, it seems inevitable as things stand, we'll eventually fall in.
Brilliant , imagine winning every week.

While I suspect a huge dollop of sarcasm here, I don't see the attraction of losing to the likes of Preston, QPR etc on a weekly basis either.

Eric, even if we do have a little run (which I have to contend is quite possible, if we get that decent striker in) do we really, really want to avoid the drop this season, only to struggle again next season?

Why can't Tan appoint a Manager to reverse the slide when given the opportunity, it's going against all logic???

People keep on going on about “getting a decent striker in, come January”

If a striker is available in January, he will not be decent !!!

You're right, and every club in every League would want a decent one. That said, a Kaba-type signing would be an improvement. His goals kept us up last time we were in this position, along with a better Manager.

Tony, whoever we get in he will be better than Meite or the inexperienced Reindorf. Surely we can't sign someone on loan as bad as Kanga, can we, to knock in a a few goals? I'm sure there must be a young Premier league striker who can't get games at their parent club, just chomping at the bit to play in the Championship and bang in a few goals? Or someone from Europe, maybe coming back from injury with something to prove?

Readings point deduction kept City up.

A side has got to have the ability to provide chances for any striker, unfortunately City don’t have that ability.

There is not a chance in hell that we will go down and as much chance that Wrexham will go up. You read it here first (It's in the name)
