Half the Premier League is owned by American investment vehicles of one shape or another.

A third of all English football is owned by Americans.

But hey, Vinny is doing a great job.

I don't know if you noticed but we are not a PL club we are a League 1 club. But seeing as you mentioned it Manchester United are one of those clubs. If taking the biggest club in the UK to the level it is now (below Bournemouth Brighton Brentford) then I really don't think that is a good advert for American ownership

Birmingham did OK last season. Wrexham too. Liverpool weren’t too shabby. Leeds coped reasonably well in the Championship, as did Burnley.

Remind me, how did the Malaysian-owned clubs get on?

It it a fact that there is absolutely nothing wrong with any Cardiff City supporter wishing the club had a better owner than an individual who has treated the fans with disdain for more than a decade and has just led two different clubs to relegation in the same season.

That is word salad. Is it fact that if Tan sold, we would get better? We know your opinion and mine is different. Both are opinions not fact. Now answer the question is it ‘Fact’ we would get a better owner if Tan sold or is it ‘Fact’ we should be careful what we wish for.

it's almost heresy nowadays to say anything good about the Hammam/Ridsdale era but by heck, they were good, fun, exciting times. The key thing for me that the current owner and his chums just don't grasp is that a football club and its supporters need feel a 'buzz' about the place, things happening, directors keeping themselves in the media. With our distant [in all senses] owner it just feels a bit cold and flat. I've always had a pragmatic stance on Tan, but now I'd wish he'd go. whatever the circumstances, even administration..

Very good post. i would stop short of taking administration, but i hear you, and a number of clubs have come back from it better shaped. No doubt we have been held in contempt, not respected and keeping us enthused has been bottom of the priority list.

Liverpool is doing well ATM but if you did down into their accounts you will find that they are deeply in debt to their owners who lent them millions to rebuild Anfield. I go to Liverpool every few months to visit old Army friends who are all LFC season ticket owners. They despise FSG, which surprised me. They all fear that what happened to MUFC will happen to them. Indeed in the early days of the Glazers MU did well until they started taking dividends out of the club.

I’m not a new poster, in fact an old poster, but not been on here for a long while. I used to post under Anne Widdecombes Mirror. We all have views and opinions, especially now.

Let’s get straight to the point. We all know Tan has made serious mistakes, we also don’t need reminding that the experience of following our football club is at its lowest ebb. Bottom line? Tan needs to go. Tan has to go. Tan should not be allowed to run a football club. Action is needed. No action does nothing, and either confirms our apathy towards the club or our acceptance of Tans tyranny.

The easiest thing you can do is sign the petition to show that there is an opposition. FAB or Trust don’t show it, and are lapdogs. Signing the petition is so easy, takes a few clicks and is FREE FREE FREE. If you don’t sign, it’s your choice, but you have to decide, if you don’t sign, whether you fall under the apathetic or the accepting group.

But the petition is asking the EFL to do something it already does for all football clubs under its control.. It also doesn`t give a link to the EFL rules where it shows that it does so.
