Some might say it was beating the jacks, but beating Man City was the highlight of that season for me.

                Yeah I will do likewise.
I can’t imagine 2 nights at the MetLife not having reasonable tickets available.

Had to get a bus from outside the castle, earlier, The Thompson Twins were playing at the time, "Hold Me Now" sounded pretty good and from the crowd singing, it seemed a decent attendance, Human League the headline act.

I was quite astounded reading this, especially as Return of The Mack, stopped A Design for life being number 1 in the charts…not that The Manic Street Preachers could or ever wanted to be associated with Britpop, they certainly benefited from the zeitgeist.

I think that African Bluebird is, like many ashamed of where they come from and of those who grew up in predominantly white areas and celebrating anything positive from it.

White council estates embraced Hip Hop massively when I was a kid.
I got paint all over my Nike Wind Runner doing the worm that my mother had to work nights for to pay for.

I guess you’d rather a period between 1994-1998 dominated by Erica Badu, interspersed by The Fugess and Run DMC’s comeback before we moved on naturally to Jurassic 5.

This kind of of shit is beyond problematic.
                          It breeds racism and hatred.

You really should be be pilloried for this kind of divisive shit!

It’s a load of sanctimonious clap trap is what it is. There were loads of females in bands in Britpop. There were female leads, all female bands and the girls were just as big as fans of the mainstream Britpop bands like Oasis, Blue Pulp. Etc as the boys. Blur even sang about Boys and Girls ffs :hehe:

And if he wants to talk about misogyny there’s no more misogynistic and male aggression than from the rap culture of that era, which was dominated by the blacks who Britpop apparently held back.

Britpop was the worst things to ever happen to the music industry is one of the worst and most baffling takes I’ve ever read about the genre.

I've seen the clip doing the rounds of Acqueisce (as in the professionally recorded clip, not on someone's phone) and, fair play, they sound excellent.

Whatever you think of Oasis they can't be accused of phoning it in - unlike a lot of bands who've been doing comeback tours recently.

I saw them in 2000 and they seem similar or even better 25 years later.
