Just booked a ticket for Oasis in New York (New Jersey) on Sunday.
Going up on the train on Sunday morning and getting a train back to DC at 6.00am, Monday Morning.

No Hotel booked, plan on getting back to NYC as soon as I can after the show…then mooching about in pubs for as long as I can till booting out time, then just hanging out at Penn Station till my train.

NYC Blue…got any tips?

Avoid Times Square. Also, there are plenty of nice little pubs around Penn Station. If you like a drink, get a load on before you get out to NJ. I might find out out where the Oasis afterparty is in the next 48 hours. I'll PM you if I do. Do you have a general admission ticket? Or are you in the seats?

I am. Family night out. I've seen Oasis loads of times but my wife hasn't and neither has my son. So they're really excited. My wife thinks she's gong to meet Liam. She's been talking about it all summer.

I bottled out and booked a hotel in Manhattan and a later train back on Monday :)

Thought it would be cool just to hang about in NYC until the small hours…but then had a word with myself!

Ignore Bill anyway. People are only allowed to moan about things he doesn’t like on here. God forbid you moan about Vincent Tan on a CCFC message board but moaning about Oasis is fair game.

Definitely Maybe was released 3 days after my 18th birthday. As you say, it was sound of our youth and generation, and generations to come judging by the new younger fans still listening to them. Wasn’t too gutted I missed out on tickets initially, rather the new generation of fans have their chance to see them, but after seeing some of the videos of last night and the set list I am absolutely****ing gutted. Looked quite the occasion and the photo taking from behind of them walking out together is going to be iconic.

1994 was a great year for music and I'd put definitely maybe in the top ten albums of that year for sure.

I don’t know about you NYCBlue…But they blew me away last night.
Up there with the best I’ve seen.

The atmosphere in town was electric with the bars around Penn packed with people drinking and singing from early afternoon.

Met up with a Mate from Boro who lives by me and didn’t know he was going and his Mates did the “tail gate” thing. (Not my cup of tea, but free beer) at the Stadium.

Cast were great, Cage the Elephant….not for me.
Then Oasis were just fantastic.
During, Cigarettes and alcohol I was honestly concerned about the stand coming down it was moving so much.

Got back to Penn and stopped for 1 before planning to go to the hotel I ended up booking and ended up having many more than one after chatting with a great bunch of lads from Manchester.

Lord knows how I got up with the alarm this morning…only just made the train back to DC and am now sweating out booze like crazy…not feeling that hungover though as I’m still buzzing.

I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did!!

It was a great show. But I don't think I would ever go to a stadium show again. I gave up really good seats to get on the floor. But I didn't realise they were going to split it into front and back. After entering the stadium you had to queue for a wristband yellow for front red for back, first come fist served. I got red. It was basically a big shouty singalong. It was fun but I'm not going back tonight as I had originally planned. I thought the band, Liam in particular were amazing. 100% professionalism from start to finish.

Yeah, lass I was talking to on the train from Secaucus said that she was on her feet for 5 hours and it was too much.
My seat was directly opposite the stage.
Some stadium that is mind, ball ache to get from there though.

I wasn't easy to get back to Penn Station?

One thing I noticed last night and from the pictures my sister sent from Cardiff is that the stage was really low. It should have been at least three feet higher for a show of that size.

Just got back now.

There were options to uber for about $60 and independent drivers taking the piss starting at $150-dropping by 30 bucks every step I took.

I ended up using the return ticket of the Jersey Transit. Chaotic trying to get to Secaucus but after that it was ok.

Since I was in the nose bleeds, I didn’t notice the stage.
