Not his fault of course but he needs to gain much more experience before he pulls on a Welsh shirt again.
Like I said it's all about levels, in League One he effortlessly finds time and space, and now he knows what he has to do to get to the next level.

i'd agree with you, although saying 'Effortlessly' is doing him a bit of a dis service in my opinion. he's worked hard to get where he is. He came up against much better players that he's used to, a yard quicker, better in thought on the ball and without it, it happens, an uncomfortable evening for him. Hopefully he learns from it and it helps him with his development, although he doesn't want to be in that situation too often.

Hopefully we miss swansea next time, half empty stadium, atmospehere wasn't great, stunk of piss everwhere and chavs galore.

The squad isn't particularly weak though, Wales' firsts would beat us quite convincingly

Canada shows 'gulf' as Wales youngsters exposed.

After four players made their senior debuts for Wales during the recent international break, pundits, players and head coach Craig Bellamy give their assessment on the efforts of the nation's newest caps.

The same could be said about Rodri and Man City. DM's are only missed when they are not there.

This is a very good point, we had no one coming short like an Ampadu or Wintle for City to take the ball from the keeper so Kapakio was seeing more of the ball further back than normal. Also the keeper was less assured with his feet than Darlow or Trott so we gave the ball away a lot Anybody who judges an 18 year old on one game is rather silly.

Personally, I think Kpakio is NOT a full back, as he is not a good tackler. For my liking for the City, he gets caught out too often, as he is hardly ever in the right back position. I think he will be a good attacking midfielder in time, but at the moment, I would prefer NG in the right back position. In fact yesterday, he was lucky not to be sent off for Wales, as he definitely gave a penalty away, whilst being the last line of defence. Luckily, the referee missed it! Certainly, an exciting one for the future in my opinion, but not at the moment.

As good as he’s looked at times, especially joining in the attack, he’s also been caught out plenty of times defensively in League One games so far too, you just don’t get punished as often at that level so it doesn’t compound the mistake. He was lucky not to throw 2 points away against Peterborough only Turner bailed him out.

Hes only 18 so there’s going to be ups and downs but people are going a bit overboard imo. I think he needs to concentrate on establishing himself with City before people start making out he’s the next Trent.

He's barely into double figures regarding senior appearances, so I don''t think a reality check is such a bad thing, and those around him will know which areas of his game they need to work on. The player will also have learnt a lot about himself after last nights game, and friendlies are the place to do these sort of things.
A post so full of cliches that I had to read it again in Brendan Rodgers voice.

Yeah, I can see that happening in the future, but playing at full back is a good way for a youngster to find their feet as everything is mostly happening in front of them.

14 games, started at 17, what more do you expect?

I don’t expect him to be playing international football when he’s so clearly not ready.

Sometimes you don't know that until they are chucked in.

Wales often have given appearances to inexperienced players. Not really sure how many other RB options there would even be.

On the flip side I thought Dylan Lawlor was a bit frazzled at times against Peterborough, similarly inexperienced as Kpakio and did a good job against Kazakhstan. Not helping Kpakio's debut was also that clearly Canada are a far better team.

It was a friendly, and they are often used for trying out different things.
