  • Transfer Embargo?

Cardiff City given a transfer embargo by EFL for non-submission of 24/25 accounts by the 31 December deadline. This means Cardiff cannot sign any players during the current window until they send in the figures. https://t.co/9VsEUDDnej

That’s a strange one, hope it’s just an administrative error and nothing else.

Ah well, at least we don't have to pay any attention to those ridiculous rumour sites for the next three weeks !

I could be wrong but I seem to remember that news broke of Sam Hammam and Langstone debt on the day we were playing Orient in a League cup match. But I’ll hold my hand up and say I could be spouting absolute bollox the way my memory can be.

I was wrong. It was the round before when we played Brighton. We beat Orient in 5he next round a fortnight later.

If this was a one off by our regime you could say that. But FFS if this is correct it once again shows what an absolute shit show we are off the pitch.

Hope it doesn't effect BBM and the players.

What? Do clubs have to send a copy of their annual accounts to the EFL even though they're publicly available on the Companies House website? Stupid rule if so, but also stupid if we haven't done that.
Steve Borley said in the last FAB minutes that we'd submitted our Salary Cost Management Protocol before the 1st December deadline. Would have made sense to do it at the same time wouldn't it?

So no mention in the FAB meeting? Shows what utter contempt these idiots of ours have for the Fan Base and Fan Organisations.

                        Nothing on the official website.

We really do need someone to make a decent offer and get Tan and this lot out of the club.

For most companies their abbreviated accounts are in the public domain, whereas the full accounts are for shareholders and the taxman. I suspect the EFL want the full accounts.

If you want a laugh, look at the other forum and some of the conspiracy theories being thrown around there. One suggested this was a plot by the EFL to put us in our place.

Another said it was deliberate so we don't spend any money.

Are the 2024/25 accounts on the Companies House website? If so, I can't see them.
