Im always surprised at the mid match comments in the match day thread, saying how we're sloppy or wasteful or lucky.

I always think we're doing just fine, and enjoy our games. Things were so bad for so many years, this year should be viewed as nothing but positive.

I think if we played ourselves we would notice how dominant we are.

We're clearly going to walk the league, we're just too good and we have a decent manager.

I know what you're saying and watching on telly is very different from watching from the stand.
On TV you get close ups and overall views that pick up pretty much everything, good and bad.

Watching from the stand is a better experience in that you get a better "feel" of the game and sometimes are blissfully unaware of what the armchair viewer sees.

I like the matchday thread in that you can have as near the experience of actually being there as possible, a chat to people "around you" i.e. the planet
Of course nothing beats actually being at the game.

I enjoyed the blog, thanks for posting. Fair does he captured all the goals! I do wonder why they stopped in Newport though and also leave 20 minutes early when you’ve come all that way - though in fairness he probably wouldn’t have seen Barnsley touch the ball in those last 20 minutes and it was a long drive back

I was there last night and enjoyed the game. I came on here and read the comments. I wondered if people sat at home watching on Sky or an illegal stream were watching a different game.

That said, although we are good we are helped a lot by some awful teams in league one. I do wonder how we will get on next season, if we are promoted.

The Barnsley players got quite a bit of stick from their fans at the end, which I understood, they showed absolutely nothing. I know conceding goals after 2 and 45 mins are probably the ultimate in demoralizing but they were very very poor

I’m fed up of the moaners around me in the ground. We were 4 nil up and one guy screamed at the keeper, “you’re not as good as you think you are”. I’m loving this season and the football we are playing. Our manager has done a fantastic job

Interesting to hear this Barnsley vlog comparing us to the Ipswich promotion side of a few seasons ago in terms of best Leaguer One sides of recent years. I must admit that I thought we were good, but hardly outstanding last night with sloppy spells either side of half time, but I've noticed that fans of other clubs are often impressed by us even when I reckon we've not been anywhere near our best. So, I wonder if I, and many other City fans, are becoming a bit blase about the football we're watching every week?

Your last sentence Bob, fans getting blase, is not confined to just fans of Cardiff City, it's every club in the world.
However good the standard at whatever level, some fans always want better.
Winning games, trophies is not good enough for some it's how they've been won :shrug:
I know it is an extreme example but look at Real Madrid fans, they get their white hankerchieves out at the drop of a sombrero!

Speaking personally at the moment on the whole I am enjoying what I see, next season can wait!

They were ok for an hour or so, pathetic after that. Still not even anywhere near as bad as Wigan were mind.

Ironically Ipswich finished runners up to Plymouth, getting promoted again whilst Plymouth stayed up with virtually the last kick of the game.

I think the manager and the coaching staff are "that good" What they've achieved with what was a dreadful Championship squad, with a few additions, is remarkable.
