Re: World Cup Final: USA v England

A terrible choice bit like choosing a winner from a Swansea vs Bristol City game

There are parts of England which don't give two shits about the national team. My mates in Liverpool f**king hate England. They tell me that they are Scousers not Englishmen

There is also a big chunk of Man United fans who also couldn't give a toss about them

Suppose it depends on the company you keep. Which part of London were you in?

I lived in Welling and Lewisham and worked in Central London and Bexleyheath, the latter location in a pub that was frequented by a lot of cheeky-chappy builder types - and the landlord himself was a rough diamond who used to keep a gun behind the bar in his previous watering hole. I also spent a lot of time in nearby Dartford.

They and other top clubs spend their money on regular away days in Europe. It’s interesting to take a look at the flags & banners among the English fans, places and teams like Nuneaton, Bristol City, Exeter etc. I may be mistaken but are there many Celtic & Rangers flags at Scottish games, I doubt it, will have to take a look.

I love exploring London. I worked in Brockley, think that's Lewisham, on a Hotel, then over to Peckham rye, although i'm not sure that is Lewisham

I actually lived in Brockley but thought few people would have heard of it. It's the only place where I have been burgled (said the actress to the bishop).

Yeah, it was a bit lively all those years back. Was all around that area. Herne Hill, where they used to film 'The Bill' alot.Brixton, Denmark Hill etc.

A tip for you. Don’t mention places you’ve worked in as lively. You’ll have Sludge weighing in telling us he stayed in the middle of it in a squat.

Is the same true of Hibs and Hearts in Edinburgh?

The older I get the less I wish ill on England. Same goes for Swansea.

                            I’d go England over USA

I watched the game and whilst Paraguay arent great, the USA looked very good and structured. They'll go quite far I believe
