I'd like to see England win the tournament. Would prefer Scotland to win it but England might have a shout if they can mentally compete if they get to the latter stages.

Not sure, but a Jock i met on holiday a few yrs ago told me that a large segment of the Tartan army, don't attend league games, they just go to Hampden and all over the world following the national team.

That concurs, had a few pints with a gang of them after a midweek win for Wales a few years back, they claimed to be just followers of the national team, no club allegiance. We remarked that they were like many Welsh rugby fans.

                I'm backing England anyway.

Imagine the USA actually becoming world champions of an actual global sport, one the majority of them couldn't even care less about. Embarrassing

Hibs and Hearts are not as tightly bound by religion as Rangers and Celtic. Obviously, Hibs began as an Irish Catholic team, but they have protestant support. Hearts have a lot of catholics following them.

When I saw Hibs play at home several decades ago I did espy a couple of IRA tattoos in the stands.

There's no doubt they have their fair share of pro-republican supporters. But in my experience. It's not like Celtic.
