I don’t need to explore this bollocks too much except to say that we should have run in five or six goals and CERTAINLY not conceded 2 goals with a first team defence against near amateurs.

The only positive out of this abortion is that we know EXACTLY which goalkeeper to unload.

It’s a MASSIVE honour to pull on that blue jersey and Cardiff City is NOT some third rate shithole club so maybe MM must learn that any old bunch of rag tag people who MIGHT be alright on the night is NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Did Bluetit do the capitals for you?

We need to go a few rounds in this competition, this is an opportunity for some players on the fringes and not trusted in the league to stake a claim.

Were you there? There was plenty of hoofing and we didn't look like scoring until their keeper chucked one in the net. Smithies was keeping us in it at one point! We were very poor first half

Colwill & Murphy had nice cameos (Colwill in particular looked very good), Davies & Sang looked ok whilst Vaulks continued his aversion to completing simple passes whilst pulling off sublime 40 yarders. Wintle a little anonymous. Watkins' second was an excellent finish

Is Ciaron Brown injured? He wasn't in the squad tonight. If not maybe he's on his way out? obviously i don't need to ask that question about Tomlin own Vassell :-)

Yes I was - were you ? We tried to pass the ball around. There were very few, if any, aimless lumps up the field and Vaulks passing generally was very good. Their first goal came from a bad mistake by Davies, not a criticism because he is still only a teenager and learning. This game was an excellent opportunity to give players like Moore, Morrison, Wintle, Sang, Murphy and Harris minutes on the pitch. Putting a load of other youngsters in to a game against a strong league two outfit would only have ended one way - out of the competiton. Who cares if their goalie chucked one in, as you put it. He was put under pressure by a shot from good play and lay off to Watkins by Moore in the box. If you don't shoot you don’t score. All this hoofball crap is a load of nonsense. We have signed five players now this season and all of them can play and pass. Its just another way of people trying to hit the club over the head because they don't like Tan or McCarthy.

Vassell played 90 minutes for the under 23’s today and is getting fitness.

They won’t let him use that mobility scooter in league games though.

I was there and there were certainly a few up and unders. I know Davies is young but he should possess positional sense, although he wasn’t helped by the dodgy Flint/Morrison/Nelson combo, Morrison being done like a kipper at one stage resulting in Smithies saving us with his feet otherwise we’re two down. Time will tell if Sutton are a decent League Two outfit but even if they are we should be comfortably taking care of them, a Championship side would most probably have been out of sight before Watkins’ first. Murphy was one of the pluses, having a decent late cameo.

They've played one game at that level...and lost.
