The England and Wales Cricket Board is pushing ahead with proposals to switch the Hundred to a Twenty20 format, but plans to keep the competition’s name. The Observer has learned that a return to traditional six-ball overs is on the cards when the next television rights cycle begins in 2029, although the Hundred title and branding will remain.

Great news!! About time . To say I'm pleased with franchise cricket would be an overstatement, but I can put up with it and see why it was needed/wanted. It was that moronic 100 ball format that was the real issue for me. Good riddance to 100 balls, sets and that nonsense.

Not an excuse, we got what we deserved overall, but we were a bit unlucky that we had to play all of the final top five twice. We missed a home game against the bottom team (Kent) and we didn't end up playing Hampshire at all in their first duff season for a while (although we wouldn't have had Crane for those games so they're probably regretting it more than us).

Saying that, we'd have found a way of losing to our 2nd XI if they'd been in our group. That kind of season. Some very good wins in there though, last night was superb.

            Scorecard here.

Find out the in depth batting and bowling figures for Wiltshire v Glamorgan in the Men's Minor One-Day Match on BBC Sport.

Asa Tribe is a name I've become aware of this season, be interesting to see how he goes in the One Day Cup. For some reason I wasn't expecting him to look like an American computer nerd but if he can play that's no problem. Sounded like a good knock today.

I like the description. Did take me by surprise aswell. If he does do well I wonder if we might end up in the situation where we are actually losing our a batsman or 2 to other counties. Got some good depth already with the likes of billy root sitting in reserve.

Anyone watching the hundred? Having a look through the teams and very surprised to see the Northern Superchargers at 15/2 and 8/1 to win the tournament. Looks a very strong side to me.

The One Day Cup starts for us tomorrow with a home game against Gloucestershire. No Crane, Cooke, Ingram, Labuschagne, Northeast or Harris for us but it'll be a great chance for our young batters to show what they can do. Maybe Ben Morris too. He can name every flag in the world, apparently, which is pretty impressive although probably not the key attribute he'll need if bowling at Bancroft, Bracey and Taylor.

Weather looks ok, maybe some rain but they should get a result. Hopefully we'll win with Gorvin straight driving Josh Shaw for 6 off the last ball. If God is in the area tomorrow that should be a no-brainer for him.

Frustrating rain delays today, the most recent just as the players were due to come out for a 1.00 start, but it's due to clear soon. We're batting first in a reduced overs game. Smale, Bevan, Tribe and Kellaway all play. Pretty much our T20 bowling attack with Kellaway and Bevan as the spin options I assume.

Gloucestershire chasing 188 off 33 overs. The pitch must have eased a bit because it looked like they’d struggle to reach a hundred when I was watching- hoping it’s not one of those games that’s more or less decided by the toss.

Good sixty odd not out by Kellaway.

A win for the Welsh Fire women in their first game - beat whatever the Manchester team is called by seven wickets.

                        The Werther's Originals I think.

Very good win by Glamorgan as they bowl Gloucestershire out for 160 - the visitors looked to be winning comfortably when they needed thirty odd at less than a run a ball with five wickets in hand, but then collapsed against Douthwaiteand Gorvin.

Have they always been called the Originals?
