    Great innings.

Always on the cards though wasn't it! I think a lot of the team will feel tonight what slipped away. We had the team this year to really have a go at this tournament. Qualification has literally slipped through our hands with every simple catch put down.

To me this isn't enjoyable cricket...it's just who can slog hardest on the day.

The term wildly inconsistent could have been invented for Glamorgan’s T20 season and I wouldn’t yet rule out our bowlers proving this again when Somerset bat

The Wurzels are getting liquidised by Glammy tonight. Now they are catching worldies.

A few of our T20 records went tonight. Highest team score, Carlson's was the highest individual score and Labuschagne (in his last game of the season for us) finished with the best bowling figures. Biggest win margin too.

Great performance and a good crowd there to see it. Not a bad evening all in all.

A terrific performance but too little too late. There were enough batsmen capable of getting this team through to the knock out stages but they simply weren't consistent enough.

Yes there were a few kamikaze knocks this season. What might have been…

Fantastic night down Sophia Gardens, just everything went right. Lovely warm summer evening too. Well done Glammy.

Have Glamorgan ever given a better T20 performance in the twenty one years of the competition’s existence than last night? It was so complete that I’m going to say no. Somerset finished third in the group and second placed Sussex were well beaten twice, but the reason Glamorgan didn’t qualify was there for all to see in their games against the other two teams that went through. They were thrashed in their away games with Surrey and Hampshire in embarrassing style (if last night was Glamorgan’s best ever T20 win, then their loss at Bristol has to be a serious candidate for their worst).

Worse still though in many ways were the defeats in Cardiff to Surrey and Gloucestershire with what had been a good all round display against the former ruined by a standard of catching that a school team would be disappointed with, while the latter has to be the biggest giveaway in our T20 history as the catching again fell apart and this time there was also awful death bowling to help what had been an outplayed visiting side to victory.

I suppose what you have to do from such a fluctuating season is concentrate on the times when Glamorgan were, very, good and try to change attitudes where the team failed to cope with the pressure of a tight finish - an improvement there, together with losing the tendency towards a batting collapse would certainly make qualification possible in 2025.

I’m not sure about run rate but that last ball v Gloucestershire at home may have been the difference?

No, I don’t think so, that huge win last night must have helped Glamorgan’s run rate figure tremendously, but it was still poor.

Find out which cricket teams are leading the pack or at the foot of the table in the Vitality Blast Men on BBC Sport

The problem was that Gloucestershire thrashed us in Bristol, I think we may have lost by a bigger margin than we won by last night.

A bit off topic, like Welsh Fire, but just seen this:

A source involved in talks about the future of the Hundred says it wants to keep its ‘really powerful brand’ even if the format does change in 2028

The England and Wales Cricket Board is pushing ahead with proposals to switch the Hundred to a Twenty20 format, but plans to keep the competition’s name. The Observer has learned that a return to traditional six-ball overs is on the cards when the next television rights cycle begins in 2029, although the Hundred title and branding will remain.

wait until they come up with a mixed competition, played with tennis balls and with cookery and dancing lessons half time. the world's gone nuts. if it ain't broke why fix it or mess around with it. the hundred sucks!
