Not sure how up to date this table is (it says 24 January but it seems to have changed since I looked at it last week), but, apart from that strange 5-0 loss to Watford recently, City have been in great form after a poor start to the season - I've been thinking they've been in with a chance of making the Play Offs with a top two finish, but winning the division can't be ruled out.

Exactly this. I guess it's easier to do when you haven't got 20,000 people shouting 'don't f**k around with it, get it in there' after the first pass is rolled backwards but it's a terrific goal.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View Post
I mentioned this last year but I couldn't understand why the first team were rarely able to create overlaps, or even get a winger one on one with his full back, however much we switched play or got full backs forward at home. I know we build up too slowly most of the time but my eldest said it's also because we don't pose any kind of threat going down the middle so visiting sides can always spare men to cover out wide. Made sense to me and the winner here seems a good example of what we lack at first team level.
Once Twose (I think it's him) plays the give-and-go up the middle their left back has a problem. He knows Kpakio is outside him and looks at him a couple of times but feels he has to block the gap that Twose might run into which leaves Kpakio in space and the rest is shelling peas for us. Looks simple, seems simple, but the first team don't get behind opponents' backlines like that too often.Comment
