  • Would you take Mackay back?

I would like to see him given another chance to finish what he started with us. I think we would have stayed in the Premier league for a good few seasons if he had stayed

There's a few people who've left the club during VTs tenure for non-footballing reasons. I can't see Malky or any of the others coming back whilst he's still here.

:hehe: More chance of Pope Francis in the dugout

This squad is far inferior, I couldn't see him doing anything anyway.

I’m sure we can find some mug somewhere to undertake the role…..

No- but i would take his coach at Watford, Dyche think he could get us playing.

Taking aside his racist comments, I think time hasn't been too kind to Malky with regard managing Cardiff City.

When Dave Jones was sacked I don't recall lots of City fans being upset over it. Every season we'd find a way of failing to get promotion. For each scintillating performance and win there was a dire 3-0 home drubbing or a miserable performance against the strugglers. We'd talked for seasons about the lack of backbone in our midfield. Decisions like not playing Ramsey in the cup final and using Etuhu up front in the play off final still get the odd mention over 10 years on.

Malky inherited a squad bereft of most of its best players, yet he created a squad from little money that surprised everyone by making the League cup final and the playoffs. Losing only 9 league games that season was our best in the second tier since 1970/71. We played some great stuff that season and Peter Whittingham became even an better midfielder, one more willing to help out defensively. From memory, most City fans were delighted to be in the playoffs. We probably weren't a top 6 side on paper but we worked hard all over the field. West Ham thrashed us over 2 legs but it had been an enjoyable season.

We started 2012/13 in rip roaring fashion, then Nicky Maynard got injured. We lost 5-4 at Charlton and Malky realised we weren't going to win promotion unless we sorted out defence. From then we changed our style to being even more difficult to beat that could pinch goals at the other end. Up until that Charlton game we were scoring at 2 goals a game, but letting too many in as well. After that we scored 41 from 31 games.

Malky was one of the best managers we had for reacting to changes during a game. His preparation was very detailed. Fans sang his name more than we did his predecessor. He was a popular manager, probably more so than Jones was during his time with us, yet Malky now seems to be the manager who fecked up when he bought Cornelius and only won the Championship when he had lots to spend (not all that true).

Presuming he’s got all the racism under control 😂and we have new owners. I doubt either party would want to work with each other
Yes in those circumstances I’d love him back
That riot didn’t come to much mind

I would have Malky back also.
