To expect any but the richest clubs to invest heavily in their squads at this time is totally ridiculous. We actually have totally rebuilt the squad recently and spent some transfer money, plus signing on and agents fees for all the players we did bring in. Plus what is wrong with appointing managers from within, which is what we have done on the last two occasions. Clubs like Liverpool did it for many years, very successfully. Dalman and Choo have been running the club for ten years, generally very successfully and are now two of the most experienced executives in the Championship. At what point do they become experienced enough to meet your exacting criteria ? They certainly will know a great deal more about football and the running of a Championship club than ever you will. Stop continually criticising everything the club, owner, board and manager does and start doing YOUR job - supporting the team.

I would not normally agree in any way with you, you really do grate people. But in this instance you have a point that no one can really disagree with. Tan, for all his faults has stabilised the Club and kept the wolf from the door. Made a number of mistakes, yes he has, but he has been a saviour in reality. Better the devil………

Cant believe I have agreed with you…

Saviour, do me a favour. He’s ruined the club in my eyes.

The money is great. But Vincent Tan is obviously a ****ing idiot. Getting rich doesn't make you smart. Think Donald Trump.

Bankrolled into the Premier League: ****ed that up.

Scrapped into the Premier League: ****ed that up.

And the massive debt he ran up?

The debt to equity that never transpired?

Crystal Palace who were ten points behind us but still in the Premier League?

Cool. Even a fool like you could do that.

Exactly. He's put a hell of a lot of money in, and got us to the premier league twice, but so many mistakes too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, he wouldn't allow any of his other businesses to be run by part timers with no experience. We seem to have no direction and little ambition. Either he gets people in to run the club properly or maybe it is time for a change.
Mind you, a new owner could easily be worse

                Re: New owners?

In short I am not sure why he still owns us and why he still wants to own us.

He seems to be as disinterested as ever in Cardiff City Football Club and spending less and less as time progresses.

I cannot stand that his ego seems to prevent him from admitting any mistakes and installing a man with knowledge of running a football club.

If we could get a man in that was enthusiastic and realistically wanted to take the club forward then I would welcome it with open arms.

I think that our first promotion was down to spending a fair bit and Malky doing the rest. Our second was due to us striking lucky with Warnock who oversaw most aspects of the club and kept Tan sweet. I am a firm believer that we got promoted under Tan despite his ownership and not because of it.

My message would be to show commitment to the club and a genuine attempt to take us forward or get out. Your investment is losing value every day that passes with your inept ownership.

I thik he lost interest some time ago.
Trouble is that he lost a lot of money and he's over-priced the club in an attempt to recoup his losses.

                    Re: New owners?

I think we're fortunate to have had the same owner for 10 years, but he's certainly lost interest.
That interest could be rejuvenated if he replaced the businessman Dalman, with someone with more football knowledge who Tan could trust.

                        Re: New owners?

Where are these new owners coming from? When we were on the verge of bankruptcy there was noone. Tan stepped in to save the club. Under his ownership we have had two seasons in the Premier League which to my mind was unthinkable in all the 60 + years I have been following the club. Even now he is forking out a lot of cash just to keep the club afloat against a backdrop when even his companies in Malaysia are not doing that well (allegedly). Of course there have been problems and there was a need to make financial savings but having watched the club in all 4 divisions I believe the club is now in far better shape than it was in the bad old days with crowds of under 3000. I get that there have been some odd decisions along the way but nonetheless I subscribe to the be careful what you wish for argument and feel grateful to Tan for the support he has given.

Your first line answers Blue Lewjs bonkers question.

There are no potential new owners.

Didn't see many people wanting a new owner when he got us promoted. Suppose it's only natural to blame the owner when things are not going so well on the pitch.

The club is depreciating every season he owns us and spends less and less.

I am not sure why he still owns us and seems to be totally disinterested. If it was me I would cut my ever increasing losses and go because I've got no passion for this particular venture any more.

I can confirm I am not Liz Truss. Wouldn't mind the payout she is getting though after making a hash of the job.

                                Does it?

                                The bloke seems totally disinterested.

Would you keep hold of a car you'd always wanted to own, got fed up of and no longer drive. Everything is able to be sold at the right price. As with most other things though the owner probably has his own pie in the sky idea of the valuation too. A valuation that is decreasing every season he weakens our league placing further.
