Greatest finish in the history of the WC. Van Gerwen, on 121, with his opponent, Suljovic on 161, turns down the opportunity of the bull to win the match 4-1, instead scoring 18 with his last dart in hand to leave 32. Suljovic takes out 161 and it's 3-2!

Not sure Rock beating Clayton on the form Clayton has shown since the Premier League would be an upset.

Clayton is ranked No.7 for the tournament.
Rock isn't ranked.
Stats would suggest that it would be an upset.

Rankings are based on a rolling 2 year tally. Rock is a youngster breaking through, a rather talented one as Clayton is sadly finding out. Rock could never have been ranked. Clayton has done very little since losing the Premier League semi final but has kept his high ranking because of a sensational 2021.

If Rock wins, I doubt anyone who knows darts would consider it an upset, given how Rock has performed in such a short space of time. Pundits have been suggesting he could win this World Championship.

Before this match I couldn't call it. If Clayton produced his A game he would probably just about win, but I wasn't convinced.

Rock looks as though he's going to be a very good player.
Pressure got to him on the doubles and Clayton showed some real bollocks to stick with him after a number of body blows.

Cracking game which to'd and fro'd right til the end.

Not sure but the shouting and fist pumping seemed to get to de Sousa at one stage.

Might just be the usual stuff from Sky. They seem to have it in for Price, remember the Gary Anderson love in a couple of years ago.

It's too much. It's intimidatory. He's directed his roars to the crowd this tournament. It's as if he's trying to pick a fight. I think he comes across as a total knob when he does it.
