    Re: MARK HUDSON SACKED

Feel a bit for Mark, with everything around the club it's not the ideal first stint in management and it probably wasn't a decent amount of time.

But it was probably the right decision. We weren't improving.

I just struggle to see who we attract at the moment. Will almost certainly be a short term appointment.

He just isn’t a manager, those team selections were weird.

Going back to a different style needs different players. You can't just expect players to play a certain way because a manager wants that. To a large extent, how you play depends on your personel.

Getting this side to play a more direct, physical game is about as laughable and possible as getting Warnock's promotion winning side to play a more possession-type of football.

Whatever happens, we're stuck with the squad we have. Whoever comes in will have to work with what we have, including the style they play. It's not the type of football that's at fault
I agree that NW would be unsuited to this squad but saying the type of football isn’t at fault, I’m not so sure. It’s horrendously slow, we spend minutes ponderously moving up the pitch then all the way back again. This was the biggest time waste of today that hindered us throughout.

Remind me again how many managers have got us promoted to the Premier League with free signings like Bamba, Hoillett and NML? But SOME people don’t want to remember that. Utterly laughable.

            I’ll just leave it there.

Wilder was linked to Pompey recently, I think his spell at Boro has damaged his rep to an extent that I think we could get him. I wish we acted sooner and got him when we delayed sacking Mick.

If I had the choice of Warnock until the end of the season or a choice arrived at by this board if left to their own devices I'd take Warnock every time.

With this board who knows who they would bring in?
Probably bring James Rowberry back or something.

Exactly the sort of football that stirs up ccfc fans even if some won't admit it
What you, and others don't get, is that we haven't got the players for that.

I would consider giving it to Colin for the remainder of the season and with the understanding that if he avoided relegation he's out all the same, it's been dire for years but its still I think an attractive job.
Maybe the current squad aren`t earning enough to be able to afford to pay Colin a slice of their appearance money if selected?

Maybe the agency employing his son don`t have enough available players on their books for him to sign if we are freed up from the transfer embargo to pay transfer fees?

Utter nonsense. The reason we are poor in the final third is a lack of quality and a failure to get players into the box. You talk as if we forever got behind defences playing long ball and turned defences. In truth, teams defend deep against that tactic.

Yes, it's slow but that's the fault of the players and the way it is being implemented. There's a time for some slower, controlled passing. It's not generally around the penalty area. That's not the style of the game that's at fault.

Clough took a rag bag bunch at forest and got them up then made them champions

Kenny Burns was towards the end of his career and playing as a striker for Birmingham City when clough used him as a centre back

It's not as if all the players are one inch high and four foot wide and can only play on the wing

We have one of the better defensive records in the division, nobody has given us a hiding. We have the worst attack in the Championship.

Well, both Jason Perry and Ian Walsh on the Radio Wales phone-in have said the same as me. Perhaps they're wrong as well.

Ian Walsh gave a resounding "Good God, no" to the thought of Warnock while Perry strongly disagreed with even thinking about him.

I'd rather go for Ainsworth or Joey Barton than have Warnock back
