Re: The table
Feel a lot better when the bottom three lose their game in hand.Originally posted by Ninja View PostHow much better does that look now, compared to just over a week ago...
It ain't funny being a City fan, extreme highs and lows that sometimes mess with your head, but it's never short of drama, that's for sure.
There'll be a lot more twists and turns between now and the end of the season.

Re: The table
I don’t think this season has been full of drama. The team has been in much the same position for months, never far away from the relegation zone but never actually in it either.Originally posted by Ninja View PostIt ain't funny being a City fan, extreme highs and lows that sometimes mess with your head, but it's never short of drama, that's for sure.
It’s not as if the side has been getting battered every week, while the amount of goals scored has been laughably bad.
If, as I expect, City manage to stay up with a little bit to spare, I don’t think we’ll look back at this season as being dramatic. On the contrary.

I get what you're saying, but were you not shitting a brick about relegation just a couple of weeks ago?Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostI don’t think this season has been full of drama. I know I was, we couldn't buy a goal or a win for love nor money, and it was very difficult to see where the next goal, let alone 3 points, was coming from.
I'm not going to lie, for the first time in the last 20 years, I was seriously fearing the drop.

It had so much promise when we beat Norwich on the opening day as well :hehe:Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostI don’t think this season has been full of drama. I agree, this season has been dire. I think we'll now stay up and just like last season, I cannot wait for it to be over.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostI don’t think this season has been full of drama. The last two seasons have been the most pedestrian I have seen in decades. I hope we stick with Lamouchi for some stability and we can get 7/8 fresh faces in to mix it up and add some creativity and flair.
This season has been a drama free zone, it was a slow and predictable slide down the table with a slight up turn once someone capable finally took the helm, about 30 games in.

Re: The table
No. I thought relegation was entirely possible a couple of weeks ago and I still think it’s entirely possible, but I’ve always believed what the bookies have believed - that it was odds against.Originally posted by Ninja View PostI get what you're saying, but were you not shitting a brick about relegation just a couple of weeks ago?
I’ll be honest, results don’t have anything like the same effect on me as they used to before the rebrand, not even close, and I’d guess the same could be said for relegation if it happens, but I don’t believe it will. Not this season.
When I bought my season ticket I was expecting plenty of entertainment this season. I thought mid-table was the most likely destination, but I did expect some decent football and some drama along the way. Thus far we’ve had precious little of either.

Re: The table
Not withstanding the last couple of games, and perhaps the opening day win and Leeds in the cup, I think it's been a truly dreadful season. I can't recall a time of greater apathy in the fan base really. I know people don't want to go down, but I don't sense there would be huge upset.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostNo. I thought relegation was entirely possible a couple of weeks ago and I still think it’s entirely possible, but I’ve always believed what the bookies have believed - that it was odds against.

Re: The table
The issue isn't wether or not certain fans are that bothered by relegation because if some fans are not as close to the club as they were ....then that's fineOriginally posted by JamesWales View PostNot withstanding the last couple of games, and perhaps the opening day win and Leeds in the cup, I think it's been a truly dreadful season. It's wether or not people felt , until the last two games , that we were going down
Of course we were , no win in a stone age !

Re: The table
Most people who watch City games live do so at home. We only win games 1-0 athome and there’s only been five so far. I think I’m right in saying weve scoredthirteen home goals in seventeen matches. I’d say the football we’ve played has been better than many on here think it’s been, but it’s been a season very low on excitement - we could set a club record for the lowest number of goals scored in a season, says it all really.

AbsolutelyOriginally posted by The Bloop View PostWhenever I look at the table I always think how it would look if the last 2 matches had gone differently.
Would've looked very grim indeed.
So we have been very fortunate and let's hope this sabri fella is the manager he appears to be and we can pull away from this mess

Maybe the McGuinness card colour, but we were all over Reading.
The fortune we’ve had this season has mainly been misfortune.
