I'm sure the Arches is reflective of most pubs these days but people seems to be going out early usually for something to eat and a beer but going home early, we got in about 17.30 having booked a table for 18.30, and it was quite full, we had one for the road after dinner and left about 20.30 and the place had thinned out quite a bit when we left. We always have a bottle of Gin in the house, i've never taken to any of the flavoured gins.

That's good to be 5 quid at least in a pub

So 2 bottles in the pub , 5 at home

Drunk at home , merry in the pub

And it's 5 quid cheaper too

      The pub has had it

Unless it does food or is a refuge for the alcoholics like wetherspoons in Bridgend
I do agree that pubs are too expensive in many cases, but hasn't the above been th case for decades? When I was a student it was probably £1.80 a pint or so, but I very clearly remember that 8 cans were a fiver in T&As on Salisbury Road

Could you have a wank in there or would that sort of thing be frowned upon?

I don't drink (alcohol) so prices like that don't affect me personally but that is absurd. I guess as long as folk are daft enough to pay such sums then they'll happily carry on.

I occasionally have a fat boy breakfast at our local Wetherspoons and I am always amazed at the number of blokes drinking beer first thing in the morning!

Have you no respect man? I would like an apology as soon as you are able please. And an undertaking that you will not do this again.
