Counting the days until the left arse cheek is replaced by the right arse cheek and to further demonstrate my indifference to all this I won't stop posting lengthy diatribes until it happens.

Can you name any policies yet?!

What will be will be, I've voted Labour many times before but I do think the country and Labour need a break from eachother. Its very cosy in the civil service, media and civic society where you have to be close or not too critical of Labour here as they are ever present.

Irrespective of anything else I think a break is long overdue so whatever coalition we get there will be some positives just from change itself.

As a high school child of the 70's your hurty words have a big FAT zero impact, sorry Cyril, glad to know you have got back from yesterdays demo safely, it's not my fault you went all in on fake news although TBF you had plenty of company, and the further devastation of your boys no longer legally allowed to punch the F out of women it's obviously quite a testing time for you I dont agree but understand your pain. They say Ovaltine works good at bedtime to relax.

I feel for the many grass roots workers who have given to the community over many years who will fall due to incompetence from the main leaders. I suppose that's always the way, even in local elections.

Labour has quite rightly been at the forefront of Welsh politics for many decades as thew Welsh tend to know who is with them and who's against them. There will be change so I hope it's Plaid. I still cannot believe the Welsh will be fooled by rich English nationalists. They will get a fair few seats though which is astonishing.

I haven't checked how much Reform have changed their policy platform since the 2024 election - if at all.

But then they clearly positioned themselves as loud on noise (culture wars around race and gender, Little Englander prejudice against 'foreigners' - but mainly the black and brown ones, and attempts to mimic Trump whenever possible - big fans of ICE!) and short on detail. They did come out with obviously un-costed pledges to raise Income Tax thresholds, pump billions into the NHS (lifted from the side of someone's bus?) and to reduce fuel duties. Their more detailed policies involved massively expanded privatisation of the NHS (to US Big Pharma), removal of employment protections from workers, ending government support for green energy, and promoting 'Drill Baby, Drill' as the solution to everything.

Since then they have gone big on a UK DOGE (even though Musk had the knife into Farage and was promoting Lowe in his place), and have cocked up most of their local government election wins with incompetence, knee jerk racism, internal purges and a realisation that their political pitch does not survive exposure to financial reality.

Reform would be a disaster. But it looks as if they have maybe passed their peak support and are on a slight downslope. The Trump groupie act is turning out to be much less popular than they expected. They are also coming up against alternatives on the left (the nationalists, Greens and independents) that are draining parts of their own 'anti establishment' base by providing a more positive vision and policy package, and articulate and charismatic leaders that Farage has not faced before.

I hope that Labour and the Tories get a good kicking in May, and that the Lib Dems are shown again to be mostly irrelevant and no longer the 'go to' option for a protest vote. Mostly I hope that the Reform bubble is popped even more loudly than in Caerphilly and Denton - but I expect they will get a few more councils in the old Red Wall to play with and screw up!

They want people reliant on them, then they vote accordingly.

Lots of canvassing going on, many saying they’ve yet to knock on a door of anyone voting Labour again. What a great job Drakeford and co have done….bravo

It just sounds like "I'm working (whatever that means) and I'm making decent money but why shouldn't I be making a shedful more when I've got to pay for the wretches who aren't as lucky as me: I want more, more, more and bollocks to the poor and starving"

                          Lovely bloke!

Not if they need it, but more than happy to voice opinions that offend people like you and others I know quite well who haven’t worked for no good reason in 20 years coz they smoked too much weed 25 years ago and now have ptsd from it and can’t deal with people or the basics…..then there are even more who just choose to stay on benefits, and why not under this shower, it pays better than getting up and out by 8am hey…as sludge well knows.

Well I've never smoked weed and I'm actively working and have been for the last 40 years so it shows you're not very perceptive. But I wonder if you're not just a bitter man who obviously has a good standard of living but wants those among us who are less fortunate to have a much more miserable life by paying for your greedy luxuries?

The acid test is when someone asks if you would give up your job to go on benefits. I certainly won't because I enjoy my job. I've asked the question many times and Ive never met anyone whose taken the offer up. Now isn't that strange?

God knows what you’re rambling on about now, paying for my luxuries? Far from it….ill think you ll fund its us paying for their luxuries isn’t it? I think you’ll also find your preaching to the wrong people if you’re asking people who’ve been working all their lives, of course they won’t, how clueless can you be? I’m glad you know these people, not sure if I believe you mind, that means you frequent plenty of reform or anti labour people and I find that very hard to believe, just like you’ve worked for 40 years……
