To cut through the castle grounds opposite the holiday inn and re join the cycle lane the other side by the civic centre makes far more sense, and it’s what most people do, which is why the other one is empty all the time.

The SNP's first government was a minority one and that was in a far less advantageous position that it looks like Plaid will find themselves in

It would be tricky but if they end up on the number of seats they're being projected then they'll have plenty of folks to work with on single issues

So what's everyone's predictions then, roll up roll up.

        Turn out 51%

        Plaid Cymru 37
        Reform 29
        Labour 15
        Conservatives 8
        Greens: 5
        Lib Dems 2
        Total - 96

Formed Government: Plaid with Labour in support. Unsure whether it would be a formal coalition with Labour in the cabinet or just a commitment to support. Shaky

General outcome: A historic election with Plaid winning but also a continuity one as Labour will be kingmakers and a Labour/Plaid coalition happened before. Big gains for Greens and esp Reform. Lib Dem less significant than ever, Tories lost at sea, probably increasingly representing rural interests.

Plaid will struggle to push towards ultimate goal of independence in this parliament if they want to govern successfully, with support of others needed to do so.

My prediction is its too close to call

It shouldnt be but with idiots like you voting for reform those tossers are going to be neck and neck on seats with Plaid , they could even win

I will be happy with Plaid representing Wales within a UK federal system .....which is not far off what is is

But as soon as the call for independence goes up thats it , hundreds of thousands of ex labour voters will desert them and either go back to a renewed labour party or vote lib dem etc

So Plaid , who know this , understand that their renewed power , if achieved , is built on soft clay

But if reform win , backed by you and your buddies the country is fecked and all this wales wales chant at football , rugby and the idea theres something unique about being welsh will be utter bollocks

We will be a bunch of union jack flag shaggers as far as most of humanity will be concerned

So I've read the manifestos of the main parties, and my take on them is as follows:

Reform = chauvinistic, xenophobic lunatics. The type of voter would be someone who still puts berries up their nose to check for stones before eating

Tories - slightly less chauvinistic and xenophobic, but lunatics nonetheless.

LibDems - the best of the bad bunch and their pragmatic approach to politics is wasted on the Welsh and British, who favour dogma over pragmatism

Labour - after 30 years of failure you'd need to be a special kind of stupid to vote for these. since its not good form to make comments about those with special needs or learning difficulties, I'll not comment on the people most likely to vote for these lunatics

The Greens - apoplectic lunatics that want to take us back to the stone age.

Plaid - nationalistic lunatics that would make Wales a third world nation given the chance.

I'd rather wank with a razor blade than vote for any of the above.

that's depressing. We've had nearly 30 years of left wing rule and we end up with another left wing government. do people really think changing the red for dark green will make a difference?

That's a pretty sound post TBF  like everyone at the moment the post is swamped with election flyers and working just part time I only get to see the flyers when i'm at home, she bins them as a rule before i get home when i'm working, we had a Rodney Berman letter through the door earlier, handwritten although obviously photo copied for distribution, i think it's plain simple and effective, i might just go back on my no vote stance and as you mentioned just go for the WLD who appear IMO to be the more favorable of a bad bunch. Mentioned it to Doris but she she laughed and said go on then you're on your own, she has a bigger anti vote stance than me :hehe:

The Lib Dems would be the ideal middle ground party if they had decent leadership

But UK wide and in Wales they are hopeless

If Clegg had been genuine and stuck around they might have one day stolen ground on labour and tories and been in the running

But now they are a waste of time , scrambling for votes with the greens in England and with Plaid and Greens in Wales

I just voted for Rhys Ap Owen, independent.

Why people blindly vote for parties ad nauseam is beyond my thinking? Vote for independents who put people before party. This is not East Germany, put politicians in place who put the common man first, not party dogma.

I don't disagree, but this new system is heavily loaded against independents, which is a shame.

I'm not sure why they didn't retain the old method and just increase members and constituencies.
