Still madness that Reform, a party with zero track record or experience in running the NHS, Education or any forms of Government get votes from an electorate predominately because of their hard stance on immigration..... something that they would have zero power over.

The only track record they have is ex-UKIP driving the UK out of Europe to stop immigrants, severely damaging the economy.... and the immigrants are still coming. How people believe their dribble is beyond me

Well done Plaid, thankfully there are enough people in Wales with common sense although the choice between a Pro Wales or a Pro England party in a Welsh election should be easy.

Its not mad when you look at it. People want serious change, so Plaid offer that, but Reform offer it more as Plaid have been involved in governments before. I agree on the experience issue, but that's a tough square to circle when you want change or something new in any aspect of life

You simplify the argument on immigration. It's too high, most people understand that and whilst the senedd has limited direct powers on it, it does have influence, sends a message and is involved and impacted upon by the positives and negatives of immigration. Irrespective, we know people vote on a variety of issues. "Get Starmer out" was probably the biggest driver on local elections in England and s huge factor in the senedd elections too, but it has no control over the matter..and thousands voted in local elections based on Gaza, which councils can't control either.

I'm mixed on it. What I hate is the narrow mindedness on why people vote why they do. Personally, I didn't vote for them, but I think they have earned their right to govern Wales after so many years and I wish them best. I think they will need it, especially with a minority government

I’m glad we’ve shed the two party state which I was saying in here years ago needed to change, not sure if it’s for better yet but I guess time will tell….more Indians less chiefs? Another change of tie colour, means very little on the grand scale of things.

Reform have canvassed on the need for change but when one of their MPs was asked what would change in one of the councils they won he couldn't answer the question - but in my mind if someone says something needs to change then they have assessed exactly what that was and what would be required to make that change otherwise just be honest and say you want to govern because that all you can promise

Farage was asked about the same and he promised no immediate solutions and also expressed concerns about the state of the finances - again this smacks of making promises you clearly don't intend to or can't keep

Not saying they are any different to any other party but if they are promising change they could start with adopting a different tone compared to the other parties

And on the subject of immigration is it that big an issue in Wales compared to other parts of the UK whether that be legitimate immigration or illegal and as for Brexit solving immigration then it only makes people movement more difficult for the other 27 EU states a lot of whom provided vital services and skills to the UK

I think it’s about time you took a hiatus for a while. You’re starting to go the same way as a few other posters — childish posts throughout this thread, passive-aggressive comments, and some genuinely stupid takes on the football board.

That’s without even mentioning the sexist comments aimed at me a few weeks ago.

Beautiful scenes outside the Senedd today with an impromptu national anthem and full of people with the right morals.

Can you imagine the scenes if Reform had been there. Then again it would’ve probably been done in London

Not sure how you’re confused at the difference but zero problem with Welsh nationalism, which is very inclusive and doesn’t invoke hatred. English nationalism which has spread into parts of Wales is based on bigotry, division and racism which has thankfully been rejected by the bulk of Welsh people.

The anthem loud and proud is a good demonstration of this. It doesn’t celebrate colonies and exploitation whilst bootlicking a certain family.

To sum up : Nationalism with a set of right minded people is lovely, nationalism with thick right wing racists not so much. Bit worried you can’t see the difference in the two but I’m not surprised
