I don’t see how she survives this after what emerged overnight and so she shouldn’t if it’s true, but there’s a stench of misogyny, snobbery and double standards from sections of the media that is a reminder of what drove 14 years of decline and despair for the country. Starmer’s Labour needed to be whiter than white to survive the onslaught of negative coverage from day 1, instead they showed they were as self serving and out of touch as the parties they were supposed to be opposing.
