I'll just say again the 'so called expert' cited in this thread is Dan Neidle, who you were citing in the Raynor thread like his opinion was fact.

I don't think Dan is just plucking things out of the sky and he'd probably be the first to admit there is a large margin of error on this but I would take his opinion over any political parties effort to cost their own policies.

I'm not saying Dan Neidle is an expert. In this particular case his response was within minutes of the Reform policy being announced, so I give it that much credence. Apropos of Raynor, its not just Neidle (or me), its the entire profession.

Yeah there is probably some people like that around. Doesn't mean you can just use it as cover every time anybody disagrees with you.

I'm not using it as cover. I'm saying that no matter what the right announce, certain people are going to object to it....here's Cheryl Cole's underwear, free, its yours. If the Tories said that Sludge would somehow argue against it.

I have now read the full article on tpa and, to me a layman, it's looks like a solid critique based around the idea that the economic case for doing it ahead of other things is very weak.

More to do with the fact you never really display a thought of your own, whereas EC, whilst being left wing, isnt so myopic and will add his own comment. Ergo your posts are given the credence they deserve

Feedy has reappeared with a bang! Not that it bothers me, and he probably didn't ever go away. He's back on it like it's 2010! He had more sparring partners back then.

I remember one very entertaining thread detour where Feedy was trying to school Goslow on the North African campaign in WW2. If anyone fitted the description of extreme right, racist, arsehole it was Goslow (he was finally banned on here for his Grenfell candle) but he was a walking encyclopaedia on the British military!

Not Feedy’s finest moment. Nor was his dabbling in the Right To Buy debate where he pretended to understand the (then) workings of the council housing subsidy system.

This latest incarnation is exhausting - but to be fair he is no longer claiming to be a world expert on everything. Small mercies!

The RTB debates on here back in the day were legendary - the days when such debates were really intense and very informative.

The much missed Archibald Leitch was heavily involved and Feedback was impressive as always wanting the last word!!

Happy days before the "gifted and talented" fruitloops arrived to ruin such threads.

We definitely discussed council houses and RTB, but I have no idea about council house subsidy, so wouldnt know where to start
