Re: The Donald Trump thread
But it really is a question for American people isn't it? They are the ones to have judged the last four years and the opening two and a half weeks (yep it's only been that!) of his presidency.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostIn other words, you can’t think of anything, neither can I.
On that, more people have a favourable opinion than not.
ABC News is your trusted source on political news stories and videos. Get the latest coverage and analysis on everything from the Trump presidency, Senate, House and Supreme Court.
There is no real economic data out, so can't really judge that.
I should imagine views are mixed, but I would bet most like this
President Gustavo Petro agrees to accept deported migrants after Trump ordered 25% tariffs on all goods.
And despite his ways I should imagine many welcome the bids to stem the tide of Fentanyl given it kills 70,000 odd Americans a year.
There will be things they don't like too and it's all too early to see if any of it works.
But again, this idea that we have to have a view on him that is all good or all bad is just daft

I guess in your World the same could have been said of Hitler, Idi Amin, Pol Pot and Hannibal Lecter!Originally posted by JamesWales View PostBut it really is a question for American people isn't it? Re: The Donald Trump thread
You’ve changed your tune because you started this strand of the thread when you asserted that Trump really does care for his base who, we’re told, include very many of the downtrodden working class - all I’m doing is asking what has he done for them, not just in his second term, but his first one as well?Originally posted by JamesWales View PostBut it really is a question for American people isn't it? Again, it really is up to them, not you or I. There is plenty you can read up on it.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostYou’ve changed your tune because you started this strand of the thread when you asserted that Trump really does care for his base who, we’re told, include very many of the downtrodden working class - all I’m doing is asking what has he done for them, not just in his second term, but his first one as well?
But not withstanding COVID, I gather the economy did alright, wasn't hit by high inflation etc. Theyno doubt like his cultural arguments, perhaps they feel safer, like the focus on the stronger borders etc.
I don't think when you look at it Trump has done that great. But people were pissed with Biden and Trump offered an optimistic vision for many.
Have to see how he does won't we!

wow talk about changing the subject !Originally posted by jon1959 View PostAbout time we got back to discussing money laundering in the Donald Trump thread. Cheers, Mozzer.
Now to join the dots: Florida real estate deals. Inflated values. Russian oligarchs. Cash injection for failing Trump businesses. Totally legal or a swamp of fraud and corruption? Hmmmm….
The USA taxpayers were being taken for a ride . Now DOGE are after the Education department and even the pentagon
Trump now revokes Biden's security clearance with immediate effect mind you i don't agree with that
