I was going to have a look because Sky has the option of going back for the last hour but because they stopped the conference on BBC 1 ( can't delay Strictly for a national emergency can we)I switched to the BBC News channel and can't now see the start.

I'll take your word for it though
Id rather watch the rugby than watch a replay of that and i feckin hate rugby.

I don't think the virus will ever be over. It's like the flu. You can vaccinate against it but still people get it and die from it.

Somehow we are going to have to live it providing mortality rates can be kept to acceptable levels whatever figure that might be.

Like the flu, this virus will have no vaccine only something to hopefully suppress it.
So we need to accept this and all learn to live with it, be sensible adhere to the 2 metre rule, masks the jury is out if they actually do anything 🤔
Protect the vulnerable and elderly but we cannot expect them to shield indefinitely and be locked away. So I would have supermarket's, shop's and DIY stores at least two days a week be for the people who need to shield to get out and do their shopping, have a cup of tea in a cafe something to eat and feel relatively safe while the rest of us respect and not be selfish aragont #$%$#........
We need to start learning to live with this virus.

The one just around the corner is already here and you get it at Boots for £180 a test. Over 95% accurate

Pleased to see that the army being called upon to aid distribution of it for the NHS and of course it will be free. Not saying it will be a game changer but to be able to be tested minutes ahead of seeing relatives in a nursing home or similar could make a big difference to people with results in 15 minutes.

Hope we get it here in Wales

No there is no vaccine they estimate what strength the strain is going to be and inject you with the strain to build antibodies.

An injection that contains weakened or killed strains of a virus to enable your body to develop an immunity to it is called a vaccine.

Most flu vaccines are quadrivalent, that is they contain weakened or killed virus from the four most commonly strains of flu around at the time
