Aye, WW2 conscription age in Britain was 18 to 41. Ukie lovers between those ages will of course flock to recruitment centers long before any call up papers are addressed to their households.Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostConscription time again, this will be where the tyre meets the road for keyboard warriors.

Harking back to those two Biden videos further up, for all the stick Cyril gets I reckon he must be in better nick than Biden, though it would still be a pretty close call.Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostI think it might go into the 50's this time as we don't have many regulars.

BBC is reporting Russia unloaded some of their hypersonic missiles upon Ukraine yesterday. For the umpteenth time Vlad didn't have one to spare to make a giant crater where Zelensky's Kiev palace still stands.

As ever, Putin has no problem ordering the destruction of properties belonging to ordinary Ukrainians.

Re: Ukraine Losses (Allegedly)
I've been having a gander at Zelensky's palace, the Mariinskyi, and very nice it is too.
A hop and a skip and a stone's throw from it are various other government buildings, including the Ukrainian parliament.
From my Sherlock-ing, during the past 13 months since Russia's special military operation begun, only rain, snow and bird **it has fallen on them despite them providing huge potential targets for Vlad's astonishing array of super-duper unstoppable missiles.
We are led to believe the reason Russia invaded was to protect the lives of ethnic Russians living in eastern Ukraine straddling Russia's border and to 'de-Nazify' those areas. An estimated 14,000 had died due to Ukrainian shelling since 2014.
It's a real puzzler why Putin has no qualms about laying waste to entire Ukrainian towns and cities while never taking the opportunity to send a rocket down the chimney of their parliament where 420 MPs regularly gather. It's a head-scratcher because it is they who guide Ukraine's policies but they appear to be untouchable while every other Ukrainian is fair game.

Yes, a real puzzler why Putin hasn't risked murdering the Ukrainian president in an obvious act when said president has the backing of NATO.Originally posted by Organ Morgan. View PostI've been having a gander at Zelensky's palace, the Mariinskyi, and very nice it is too.

A little naive there, Organ. It's quite normal for countries to refrain from killing leaders or bombing parliaments during war. Funnily enough, they don't want to create any reason for a revenge attack aimed at them.
Can you believe that they prefer other people to be the targets rather than themselves? So strange isn't it! A head-scratcher indeed!

Ukraine has had so much US dollars gifted Zelensky may have a nice racket going on loaning some of it out at interest.
Perhaps he's among the celebratory dancers here doing the shekel shuffle.

More on Biden. This won't be reported by corporate media.
He's well known for fondling kids and sniffing their hair. His daughter alleged in her diary, among other things, that he used to join her in the shower when she was 15. There had been a dispute whether the diary was fake.

Re: Ukraine Losses (Allegedly)
The 'coalition base' is in fact a US military base inside Syria which was built eight years ago to enable the Yanks to control and steal Syria's oil. Many people have no idea they are there, that's because the occupation is illegal and contrary to all UN conventions.
- IMMEDIATE RELEASE
U.S. Conducts Airstrikes in Syria in Response to Deadly UAV Attack
March 23, 2023
Earlier today, a U.S. contractor was killed and five U.S. service members and one additional U.S. contractor were wounded after a one-way unmanned aerial vehicle struck a maintenance facility on a Coalition base near Hasakah in northeast Syria at approximately 1:38 p.m. local time.
The intelligence community assess the UAV to be of Iranian origin.
"At the direction of President Biden, I authorized U.S. Central Command forces to conduct precision airstrikes tonight in eastern Syria against facilities used by groups affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)," said Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III. "The airstrikes were conducted in response to today’s attack as well as a series of recent attacks against Coalition forces in Syria by groups affiliated with the IRGC." -

Re: Ukraine Losses (Allegedly)
It certainly seems to be heating up over there. With China seemingly pro-Russia and anti-Nato over Ukraine, it has repeatedly asked the Yanks to get their troops out of Syria. Nowt to be found about that at the supposedly 'impartial and objective' BBC though.
China urges Washington to end ‘occupation and marauding’ of Syria
- China has repeated calls for the US to end its illegal military occupation of Syria and stop looting the country’s resources, stressing that its continued presence has worsened Syria’s humanitarian crisis.
“We call on the United States to sincerely respect the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of other countries and to immediately stop its illegal military presence and marauding in Syria,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said during a news conference on 11 March.
“The United States has illegally intervened in military activities related to the Syrian crisis, which has led to the death of a large number of innocent civilians and a serious humanitarian disaster,” Mao added before calling on US officials to lift crushing economic sanctions on Syria.
Beijing’s call came just two days after US lawmakers voted against a War Powers Resolution that called for withdrawing troops from Syria.
Around 900 US troops are currently deployed in the Levantine nation, controlling nearly a third of the country and a large portion of its oil fields. Their deployment is illegal under international law as it was not approved by the government in Damascus. -

Not just the BBC with its' news agenda c/o the UK centre right print media and its executives, board and funding c/o the UK 'establishment' (the Owen Jones definition), and especially in recent decades its' Tory Party component. There is no serious reporting on Syria, Yemen etc in any of the main broadcast or print media. There is some now on Israel/Palestine - but only because the curent Israeli government has stopped ticking some of the boxes for unconditional support and cover.Originally posted by Organ Morgan. On Syria:
US forces have targeted a base operated by Iranian allies in eastern Syria after an attack near a US base last week.
The ambitious plan would have seen Delta Crescent, a tiny Delaware company, try to bring peace and stability to the war-ravaged northeast, but local corruption, a lack of U.S. commitment, and other complications doomed the idea.
One of the few honest things ever said by Donald Trump was - in 2019 - that the USA was in Syria 'for the oil'!
