Yes but surely a player who reaches their mid-20s with 40-60 caps is going to be more experienced and skilled than if they had never played internationally.

I imagine it’s more to do with the fact international football is different to club football in lots of ways, the travelling, playing with players you don’t usually play with, the refereeing, the broader range of players, managers, football style and tactics you’ll come up against, the pressure of playing for country, etc.

Well yeah he’s not the ideal person to judge it as he’s biased but that doesn’t mean he’s definitely wrong.

The changes Speed made, and the management of Coleman along with the magic of Bale, are definitely why we made it to the Euro 2016 Semi Final.

But both managers inherited a squad of players that not only had talent, but also had wealth of international experience, and had played together enough to have bonded and built chemistry with one another.

Tosh and Flynn also found some key players that may not have featured if not for them, Ashley Williams and HRK for example.

If you can’t give some credit to Tosh for what we’ve achieved I can only assume you don’t really like Toshack and you’re letting it cloud your judgment.

Because the best available players are selected for their national team, so good players get lots of international caps because they are good players, they don't become good players by getting lots of international caps.

No but they become even better players thanks to their international experience.

I don't think some fella that plays for Azerbaijan is better because he's played 87 times for his country, personally.

            I understand your logic though.

Johnson also out because of injury, with no disrespect to Ramsey you’d say that’s our two most important players I reckon, going to be a very impressive result to get anything from the Croatia game and I fear even Latvia might tell us a bit about how much depth there really is in our squad these days and how good some of the youngsters are. 3 points from the opening round will be a pretty decent result.

Amps is the first name on the team sheet for me. We may get overrun, but he still gives his all until the final whistle. Now it's up to some of the other lads to show the same drive and passion, and play for each other as a team.

They've all played in the Premier League. Harris is a wild card, but he is used to playing with Wilson & James at Fulham.

Rob Page not happy with Forest over Brennan Johnson injury.

Wales boss Robert Page unhappy that forward Brennan Johnson has not travelled to Croatia for their Euro 2024 qualifier.

I can’t see him going away from 3 center backs in a game we are expected to be well under the cosh, but that lineup seems decent to me too. Integrating Luke Harris into the side will be key to this campaign.

How many of the original squad called up have been replaced? I swear every other day I was reading about someone new being added to the squad.

If we can keep it to 3 nil reckon that will be ok…..not the start we really needed after the World Cup shambles
