The championship is an attractive league with plenty of good fixtures

        League one isn't
What’s been attractive about watching Championship games at Cardiff City Stadium since we got relegated? It’s been more like serving a sentence.

Just looking at the teams in league one and correct me if I’m wrong but I counted seven teams that have played in the Premier League
          Sheffield Wednesday/Derby/Pompey/Charlton/Barnsley/Bolton/Ipswich
Soon to be followed by ex premier teams Blackpool & Wigan plus one?
I’m sure the owners all had grand plans of where they wanted to be but that’s the cyclical reality of football

I'd even suggest that there's been bugger all attractive about watching City, promotion season aside, since our first PL relegation. The fact that our attendances are currently higher than they were under Russell Slade suggests our fan base might be a bit stronger that some think.

I think the Swansea crowd was amazing under the circumstances and, if anything, the Sunderland one was even more so given the performance and result in the previous home match.

Hopefully you managed to get out of bed this morning Allan, the weather is miserable and the city even more so.

                      You seem utterly depressed.

                      Cheer up Bluebird.

Some of our fans seem happy to accept lower league mediocrity because only real fans will be there and we'll win 'some' games...Jeez!!!
Who is accepting it? The reality is that if City go down then City go down. It's a reality? What will you do? Cry all summer?

Three clubs get relegated every season from the championship. You can enter a spiral of decline or you can focus on some positives and try and build back stronger.

What's bollocks about it? The negatives of relegation are pretty obvious.

But if the reality happens then we have to deal with it as a club and some positives do emerge. Doesn't mean they outweigh the negatives but it's pointless to view relegation as the end of the world. That actually would condemn us to staying down longer IMO

You said “hardcore fans only” as a positive of relegation, which implies there are people in the current crowds that aren’t hardcore fans. Ergo, less fans at games.

I think by definition you will see people there more for the love of the club rather than under the pretence of a form of entertainment. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, the club is for everyone.

However, I do think if City went down and won a few games the atmosphere and momentum would build and generally it may be a better atmosphere than the last couple of years. I think Sheff Wed fans, Sunderland etc may agree.

Again, there are more negatives than positives obviously. Football is about winning. But if it happens I don't think it's a case of every single aspect of supporting Cardiff City instantly becoming worse cos I don't think that's true
