His name came up in discussion with a mate earlier today and boy, did City strike lucky with him!

His stats this season at Elche in the Spanish Second Division and the Copa Del Ray:

6 (+9) appearances, 1 goal

Dodged a bullet by not signing him permanently I reckon.

Absolutely, his overall play was poor but he had the knack of scoring vital goals in that loan period and the goal at Watford was special, However i think it was a general suspicion it wouldn’t be something he could sustain

A loan signing who could chip in with just say 5 or 6 goals between now and the end of the season could be the difference in relegation or survival

While I don't disagree a loan signing could be vital, I can see Isaac Davies getting 5-6 easily. Maybe a rejuvenated Etete too. Neither can be that far away. Robbo's only missing one more league game as well.

Of course we’re all just guessing, but I feel we need an extra goal about every other game.

That means we need to add a 10 goal striker, or get others to contribute an additional 10 goals compared to the first half of the season.

…oh yeah…and stop leaking goals too of course.

Etete has played 56 games and scored 6 goals. You think he could be our saviour?

he's played ,2307 minutes at championship level, so realistically more like 25 90's.
Most of that time he's been a very isolated figure as well as we weren't good at getting numbers in the box.
I still think he could do better with players around him, but of course no guarantee of that
