It would be good if Vale (if true) and Mannsverk loans include options to purchase. I doubt it though, whilst it appears to be commonplace, I can't remember us ever having any such deal.
it was said that the Mannsverk loan is just a straight loan, no buy out clause.
which isn't to say we didn't want one

He is here to get game time, it suits both clubs atm, I can only see positive things from this, if he makes plenty of appearances and lives up to expectations it’s a win,win scenario.

Ajax might feel we’re a club to be trusted with future players with potential!

There is always the chance that he enjoys playing here on a regular basis and doesn’t get into the match day squad on his return to Ajax and wants to come back?

I’m optimistic that we have two decent players signed in January, ideally I’d like to see another striker and a winger, but if it doesn’t happen, we have still improved the squad with these two young players hopefully.

But Huddersfield apparently did not include a recall clause.

Which, if true means it is up to Nantes if they release him

Hull about to complete the loan signing of Louie Barry. That'll be their 7th signing this month and their 62nd since their owner took over in January 2022!

It’s the ‘Three Little Birds’ connection.

Have watched a lot of this fella at Stockport last season and a half and he improves Hull immediately

I would guess negotiations maybe a bit tricky
Give us him now, and we will take £50 off your final bill.

I'm probably wrong but I thought he was a Huddersfield player on loan to Nantes.

Yes, but if there is no re-call clause in the loan agreement then Hull can't sell him without Nantes agreement.

Get Willie McKay on the case. He'll sort it...

….perhaps he might throw in his twin sons as part of the deal ?

Looks like Siopis off too, hopefully we get a decent fee, but don't think we'll miss him too much.

                            Two more :ayatollah:

Omer Riza is braced for a busy final few days of the transfer window, with Cardiff City hoping to add potentially two more players before Monday's deadline.

But the manager did hint that there may even be scope to work something out with Ajax at the end of the season, if Mannsverk's loan goes well over the coming months, to make his move a little more permanent. :ayatollah:

"I've really enjoyed it," Riza said of the window. "It's been quite smooth and I haven't really gotten flustered with anything. There have been disappointments along the way, you hear of things that should have happened and promises along the way, you can't control all those things, but as long as you've got options to replace them you're in a good place.

"At the moment I think we have brought in two very good players for the future of the club - granted one is on loan, but you never know what could happen further down the line if we finish the season strongly.

"Salech is in the building now and hopefully there is two more who will come in."

Asked if there was an option to buy Mannsverk, Riza added: "Not at the moment, no. But there could be."

While Cardiff last year relied on Erol Bulut's broad network of contacts, Riza, whose playing career saw him take in spells at clubs in both Turkey and the Netherlands, pulled out his own trump card when landing the promising Norwegian.

When asked how Cardiff captured the 22-year-old, Riza said: "I played with Maurice Steijn, who was the manager of Ajax. We played together at Ado Den Haag. He had good knowledge of the player and Paddy also had good knowledge of the player as well.

"For me, when you marry everything up together, I've watched the player a few times before and he's a good player, a good quality player, there is no doubt about that - a lot of clubs at this level would take Sivert without blinking."

"Let's say Sio was the one to go, for instance, we have enough there to be able to continue. If Sio was to stay, he has done a great job and is brilliant around the place, has a great attitude and character. We will see how far along the line we go with that."

There are others who will leave, too. Kion Etete appears to be closing in on a move to Bolton, Notts County want Michael Reindorf and there is interest abroad, some of it from Greece, in Jamilu Collins.

On departure, Riza said: "There could be two or three players who could be going out on loan or permanently. I'm not at liberty to talk about them yet because they're not done. I think within the next day or two things will be become clearer."

Swansea have apparently made a bid for Hector Kyprianou, who we were heavily linked with this month.

IIRC he was going to run his contract down and leave in the summer, so we'll see.

Given that Riza said that one reason why we were not likely to see any immediate developments with the one or two players we're still targeting this window is that they might still have games to play before a final decision is made, this may have some truth in it (although I'd be surprised if we got him if the other teams mentioned in the piece are really after him as well).

Will Lankshear looks set to depart Tottenham on loan before Monday's transfer deadline with a host of Championship clubs interested in the striker
