    Re: Riza: Please resign

It isn't very responsible for an experienced businessman to keep making the same mistake and keep appointing YTS novice Managers to try and manage a Championship team, he must want to lose all his money.

We are deep in the sh!t and the squad needs some experience to pull them away from the bottom.

Good point. I believe he was given the job until the end of the season

Surely FFP has to be part of the equation? Everytime you sack a manager there is a financial hit as the pay off is simular to a transfer fee eg £1 or 2m. We have already paid off Bulut this season so that has to limit the scope of employing a new manager on the type of salaries the likes of Robbins, Mowbray etc would want.

The club have to be careful because a breach of FFP would lead to a points deduction and we have seen how that can lead to relegation with Reading being the obvious example

Does anyone actually get paid off in one hit? or is it just the case that they carry on receiving their monthly salary until the end of the contract or they take another position?

Good point. FFP is a complicated. Bulut could be either receiving his contractual salary for the next 18 months or the club negoatiated a settlement. Either way the payments will show up on FFP. In other words the money being paid to Bulut or the money paid to Bulut will impact FFP as our compliance budget will be lower as a result.

Nobody understands it anyway (least of all clubs themselves it seems) so the club may as well tell people we can't get a new manager because of FFP.

I doubt it would be true but may help get everyone behind him or purse when he takes over next month.

I said at the outset I firmly believed this guy should be nowhere near a management job in the Championship and I stand by that. His record of coaching at this level is extremely limited and it's not very good either. There was absolutely nothing in his background to suggest he was qualified to manage a Championship club at this stage of his career. Consequently, it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that he's looking way out of his depth.

I've never applied for a job I knew I wasn't qualified to do. Omer Riza did just that. Some are applauding his confidence and ambition. To me, it looks more like delusion on his part. Of course the owner is ultimately responsible for this mess, but Riza certainly isn't blameless.
He is delusional, I said that to you in your post a couple of months back when you called him out. If he's done his badges, then I suppose he's "Qualified" to do the job, in the most puerile sense. You could see that he was deluded, I could, why couldn't the clowns who employed him? I just find it all amusing now, it doesn't bother me, it is the entertainment that we lack on the pitch.

The main on field reason we’re where we are is that we’ve had a choice of Kanga, Meite and an injury hit Robinson to pick at centre forward for half a season.
The fact that Andy Rinomhota is having to play there is evidence enough we've completely ballsed it up. He isn't a Championship centre mid and we're using him as backup. From top to bottom, the club is run by clowns.

Riza may well be hopeless but I wonder if any manager can make a decent team from the players currently at a manager's disposal.
The options up front are negligible.

Sorry starter. This isn't a massive pop at Rinomhota either. He isn't good enough in my opinion but he tries and that's all he can do. It's just a shocking situation that someone who was surplus to requirements 12 months ago is back in the fold, out of position because the club's recruitment has been so bad it is genuinely incredible. We've got loads of terrible centre mids, strikers and wingers, we've spent 6m on 2 centre backs that don't play regularly, 3 left backs and one right back.

Yup, and across this whole squad. There's a mistake in every one of them, a poor decision, lack of concentration, and none of them know how to look after the ball.

a bit harsh on Andy, he has always played in the championship for the last 6 seasons ( yes I know mostly with a constant struggling reading side ) and 2 years ago played most of our games that season ( I think )

We can't score. You can't win games with our side, the other team cotton on after a while that they can just go forward. There aren't enough goals in the side, if you add up all our attackers and their best seasons recently, I bet there's barely enough goals to keep a side up,

He's poor. We couldn't give him away last season for God's sake. Our players are dreadful, there's a reason we rarely sell anyone.
