About as disrespectful as it gets considering they 'represent Wales'
Yeah I'm one of those people and I have no defence, I know it makes no sense, it's just different in my mind

Never really understood anyone who 'supports' England (at anything). Just can't see how anyone can identify with them, granted if you have English parents etc

I'm not one of these dribbling tools who is rabidly anti English either. They're our closest neighbours, some think there's a sporting rivalry but in reality I doubt they give us a second thought.

Sports wise and especially football I'm at best ambivalent towards how they do even though the last two European Championships have provided a wry smile by failing to win them. That said, I don't mind their players, it's more the media and some of the fuuckwits that support them I like to see them continue to go so close but no cigar.

Who is there that a Welsh cricketer can play internationals for if not England?

If other countries are anything like England, I assume all of them.

Agree with all of this, though having lived in London for the last 5 years I have thoroughly enjoyed their final defeats. It's not even the usual naughty football fans who are irritating rather the hooray henry's in Clapham etc who are just about the most insufferable sporting demographic on the planet, so seeing them disappointed is a massive bonus. Hope they lose in the final next year, will make for a truly wonderful day out.

I totally disagree with you. Historically England has been represented by players from all over the UK and at times been captained by non-Englishmen. Mike Denness of Scotland and Tony Lewis of Wales spring to mind. If Wales produced high calibre players, it's unlikely they would be overlooked by England, especially as they've had South Africans and New Zealanders play for them. Over recent years there have been test matches played in Cardiff, so it's not as if the principality is being ignored.

The English football and rugby teams are a different kettle of fish however. Two more arrogant international teams it is difficult to imagine. And don't get me started on the English media !

I would also like to say that my "support" of the England cricket team involves keeping an eye on the Ashes and low key hoping they win them

Shame about the injury. It now means that there will be no Welshman in the test team as Jac Morgan is nowhere near good enough

I’m not aware of any Welsh player who was good enough to turn down a chance to play for the England cricket team on what I’ll call political grounds who has actually done so. Where else could they go that is considered more the team they should be representing than the one under the auspices of the England and Wales Cricket Board? I agree that the fact that Wales is represented by what is called the ECB is insulting and arrogant -it should be changed, but that doesn’t change the fact that if a Welsh player good enough to play for England opts not to do so because he wants to play for Wales, he has to do so for a side that plays on a part time basis at a level below county cricket. The Wales minor counties cricket side is the highest level you can play internationals for if you’re determined to play for that country - you could play for Glamorgan, but, either way, you’re going to be playing English teams under the auspices of the ECB.

I agree with you that football and rugby are a different kettle of fish to cricket.

And completely written off by Farrell after the Argentina game if you listen to his post match comments. Whilst he didn’t name him - he might as well of. So with Tomas potentially out of tour my little interest has become no interest. Listening to Farrells ridiculous comments on Hansen post game today, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is 13 Irish plus itoje and fin Russell come the 1st test. Farce.

I'm not sure it comes even remotely to being a "farce" if said players are deemed to be the best available. That's how matches and tests get won.

We’ll see. But if that’s what happens then it would be a farce - Imho - when there are better Scottish and English options - imho!!
