Next match: Pre-season. Saturday, July 11th | FC Midtjylland (H) @ Cardiff City Stadium, 12:30pm -
All pre-season fixtures
Huw Jones seizes his chance, Jac Morgan impresses again, Owen Farrell looks sharp and Hugo Keenan show his resilience as the Lions look to the first Test.
Will it have the desired effect with / on Farrell? Personally I doubt it. Think he’s much more likely to trust what he knows - van der flier - or pick brute strength - curry. Let’s see!

Sadly, for Jac I think he’ll pick what he knows and give Jac the chance to impact from the bench. Who knows.
It’ll be an interesting selection and an interesting first Test.
Looks like jak missing out on 23. Now there’s a surprise……
First time since 1890 something that a Welsh player has not featured in a Lions test match I believe if Morgan doesn’t make the squad (which is being reported today as what’s going to happen).
Tom Curry is set to win the competitive race to be the British and Irish Lions open-side flanker ahead of Jac Morgan, with Sione Tuipulotu featuring in an all-Scotland midfield.
Madness. Surely you pick on form and not reputation.
Not Farrell. Slightly surprised he’s going curry and not van der flier at 7, especially as curry not a real 7 - imho, but more of a 6 and a half! Honestly didnt think jak ever had a proper chance, however well he went in warm ups. Think the call up of the prodigal told you all you need to know about Farrell snr and his view on reputation v form. Call me small minded but ‘come on Australia’!

Correct call for me, Morgan is nowhere near the level of Curry or Van der Flier. Plus they have the big game experience whilst Morgan plays for a nation that has usually lost by half time.

I still want the Lions to win but it does take the shine off somewhat.

Or on the plus side, Morgan has still managed to excel even after being surrounded by the dross of the last few years. I do see the logic behind it, it’s just a sad reflection of the state of Welsh rugby

Apart from JM being ahead of them in pretty much all the stats you can measure them against on tour you are correct.
