    Re: British Lions

Jac Morgan with a MOTM performance which puts him in pole position for a Test start. Slow first half but clinical second.

Rugby pundits all still favouring van der flier to start 7. And the new wonderkid from England to be back row cover on bench. Hope they’re wrong!

Well, well, well. Calls his own son into the squad. What a surprise.

Indeed. I used the word farce around selection the other day, but now you can add complete and utter.

Not involved in the 23 tomorrow in what the press are considering a test dry run. Curry at 7 - he’s not - and van der flier on bench.

Still can't get my head around how James Lowe butchered that try opportunity first half. He only had to fall over the line. Can't get my head around the fuss about this guy: no pace, no step, can't finish. People seem to fall over themselves because he has a big boot and can carry crash ball like a second rate flanker.

He’s Irish and another Farrell love child. How can anyone have any respect for any selection decision he makes now he has called his son in.

Doubt if any of the players (the ones whose opinions really matter) have any problem with Owen Farrell being included.
Who would you have called up to cover that position?

Well as it was Eliot daly who was injured, and he plays predominantly 13, 14 or 15 then not someone who only plays 10 or 12. Personally, and based on the 6 nations, Tom Jordan of Scotland, but there are options. Of course the other players are not going to show any adverse response to the call up - the guy picking the team is owens dad! But I’m struggling to see how anyone can justify it.

A sobering stat from yesterday's game, but it was the first time since 1899 that there wasnt a single Welshman in a Lions matchday squad.

Losing Eliot Day, also meant losing the best long kicker in the squad. Finn Russell, Fin Smith and Matt Smith are decent kickers on their day, but Owen Farrell is the best under pressure, so to me that justifies his selection, lots of games in the modern era are decided on kicking.
It’s all about opinions though 👍
