Suppose it depends if he wants first team football. He's only played a handful of games for Rangers so coming to us would probably be his best bet for regular game time.

I've also seen us liked with Ethan Brierly who's currently on loan at Exeter.

Yes, gave him his debut as a 16 year old apparently.

Seems to be central midfielder who has a good passing range, but who doesn't win many tackles or headers, so very much a BBM type

Could definitely imagine Cardiff going in for Ethan Brierley on a permanent deal.

His career trajectory might be a slightly better match for them than for Brentford.

Bluebirds boss Brian Barry-Murphy has always been a fan, going back to his time at Rochdale.

Named him on the bench for an FA Cup match at Newcastle in 2020, when he was only 15.

Played five games in League One the following season under BBM, who clearly believed in him.

Successor loaned him out to Spennymoor the next season, when they were a League Two club.

No rumour, but what is going on with Jak Alnwick?

He has been totally out of the picture since the start of the season. BBM said months ago that he had gone back home to the north east because of family issues.

Rightly not specified what that was about, but he hasn't trained with the squad for four months and is in the last year of his extended contract (given another year in January/February?) and not in the manager's plans at all it seems.

I keep expecting to see stories about him lining up a move away, but nothing (yet).
