    I was talking about Bianchieri.

But I wouldn't want Harris back either.

Oooh, now that's a serious offer. Really not sure whether that should be accepted or not, I like Ashford, but do we think his value will increase?

You're probably talking hypothetically of course but if it's the podcast I'm thinking of then we have 99.99999% of it not being true and if it was the guy running it will be as surprised as anyone.

Hypothetically, as a supporter of the club and not being involved in the clubs finances I wouldn't want to see Ashford leave for that. It would be unlikely to be reinvested in the paying squad and even if it were I'm not sure what it really gets, particularly in January.

I also wouldn't want to send out any signal of us weakening the squad, let's just do our best to see the season out where we are, top 2, strengthening if possible.

Football is funny, lots change but for our club £5m still looks decent money for a player with good potential nearly 20 years after Ramsey left for a similar amount. I know Ramsey of course had a higher ceiling, was still an absolute steal for Arsenal.

I donÂ’t take these in the know people seriously and would prefer to wait for the results at the end of any transfer window but feel the need to comment on this rumourÂ…

On the face of it £5million pounds for a league 1 player sounds like good business, but I think Cian Ashford is a better than league 1 standard.

I have no idea how long Ashford has left on his current contract, which may or may not have a bearing in what he might be worth as an asset.

How has that person come to that figure? I assume they made it up based upon other reports making stuff up.

In my mind Ashford is a current asset that is worth more than £5million, because he is contributing to the success of the team, so that figure is rubbish in the greater scheme of things.

A lot obviously depends on the financial situation of the club - when we sold Ramsey we weren't in the position to be able to turn down an offer of £5m.

Whether we are now is anyone's guess

League One leaders Cardiff City are plotting a move for exciting Salford City winger Kelly N’Mai, who was of interest to both Middlesbrough and Preston North End last summer

                can't see this happening myself

                  Good point.
I am sure earlier in the season, BBM said words to the effect that the club had said to him they do not need to sell their best players.

Given the way we are currently playing and improving, those words surely carries more weight now than at the start of the season.

This could be an interesting move.

Seems that he's a good dribbler, with good pace and puts in a lot of defensive work to go with it, winning a lot of balls high up the pitch. That sounds like a pretty good fit for us.
He's out of contract in the summer as well, although there would presumably be a tribunal fee.

It is the 2nd position (out of 2) on the shopping list. A left back and a winger are the only positions I expect to see us bring in players.

I agree with you, if that claim is true, I would’nt be interested in selling Ashford at that price and if I were Ashford I wouldn’t want to leave the team i supported to go to a side that is only about eight places above us in the league standings currently anyway.

Is Michael Reindorf the only one left to find a loan move?

In the press conference today BBM agreed that all the outs (permanent or loan) were done but no-one asked about Reindorf.

Unless he is going to stay with the u21s - but that would be a very odd decision.

In the press conference he also suggested that a Horvath transfer to the MLS just awaits the opening of the transfer window out there

If Reindorf can't get a move elsewhere then the club really need to pay him off. He's clearly not up to it and nobody benefits from him staying, He's probably on an 8 year contract though after that 15 minute cameo in the league cup 18 months ago.

He was watching the u-21 game last week and seemed to be limping as he came in. It's odd how he dropped off the radar so suddenly at Newport, having featured most weeks until then, and he hasn't played for our u-21s since he came back either so an injury would seem the likely (if not the only) explanation.
